The car raced down the blackened highway. My parents were arguing. I sat in the back seat, listening to their argument, I was used to it. The car was suddenly struck by a gust of strong wind. The old green Pontiac tipped into the dusty ditch. The world around me went black.

My eyes fluttered open. I saw the world around me through dusty windows. My small arm reached for the door of the car. Locked. I crawled to the front. "Mommy wake up,Daddy?" I whimpered through dry lips.  My arms began to shake my mom, no response. I needed to find water, and a way out of this car.  Sweat dripped down my forehead. My eyes felt heavy, so I curled up and fell into a deep slumber.       

I was woken by shards of glass brushing my face. A boy was dragging me through a hole in the window. "Who are you?Are you my daddy?" I asked him, looking into his blue eyes. He tipped a water bottle into my mouth, the cool water rushed down my dry throat. "I'm not your dad, my names liam." He said adjusting his blue glasses and brushing his short brown hair out of his face.
