A/N at the end which is kind of important but not really🐰

"So, why are we going back to the apartment again?" Dad asked as he drove. "I told you, I have some stuff I need to pick up."
"Won't Cal be there?"
"No." I shook my head. "He's on some music trip with Michael to Berlin. He won't be back until Friday." I explained before we pulled up outside. I entered the flat and began packing up the remainder of my things, before I heard the front door open and then close again.

"Cal?" I heard the familiar voice of Ashton shouting through the flat. "He's not here." I said, walking into the living room were Ashton was stood. "Megan! You're back. Did Calum tell you what we were talking about?"
"No! And I don't want to hear it. And I'm not back, I've moved home. Also Calum won't be back until Friday so you can come back then. But for now, I'm still really annoyed and sad about what you were talking about, also a little embarrassed so I'd appreciate it if you just left."

And with that, Ashton nodded sadly and walked out of the flat. I followed not too long after with the rest of my stuff and headed home.

"Megan, the Hoods are having a Halloween party on Saturday, they've invited us if you want to come along." Mom told me as we sat eating a proper meal my mom and cooked for us. "I don't know, won't Calum be there?" I asked. "Erm, no. They said he'd be very tired after his trip and will want to rest."

"I'll think about it. Cal loves Halloween and won't want to miss out on it." I said before eating a forkful of delicious chicken.

All the memories of us trick-or-treating around the neighbourhood came flooding back and I couldn't help but smile. Calum would love to dress up as his favourite superhero at the time which meant I'd like to dress up as his sidekick. My favourite was always Batman and Batgirl, we actually used to wear the costume almost everyday for two weeks after Halloween. On Halloween night, we'd share out all the candy and watch 'scary movies' which definitely weren't scary before we both fell asleep on the living room floor, and wake up with smudged face paint and candy all over us. Yet we still did it every year until we were eleven years old.

Mom continued to tell me more about the party, talking about costume ideas and how they'd even invited Joe and Declan. My whole family loved Halloween which is why mom was so into this party. Her and dad would decorate the entire house with spooky decorations and we'd each carve a pumpkin to put outside on Halloween night for the trick-or-treaters to see, even though they were far more into the candy than the decorations.

I apologise for this being a very short chapter. It's kind of just a filler😌💓

Also, are you sad that this book has left than 10 chapters left?? I know I am.
Please feel free to comment on my chapters because I love reading them and it makes me happy😊😊

But in good news, shortly after this book has finished I'll be releasing a new book called Childhood Friends🌟
I may release the first chapter early as a preview...🌈🐳x
