"Megan! I'm so glad you made it!" Joy hugged me as we turned up to the party on Saturday night. This year, my parents decided to dress as vampires while I went for a harlequin, something simple. "Can't miss out on Halloween." I smiled, even though I wasn't in the mood the celebrate my favourite holiday. "Wow, you look great." Joe smiled as he and Declan, who were dressed as werewolves, approached me. "I could say the same about you, but in reality, your just a wet dog." I smiled back as he playfully nudged me.

I decided to make my way over to the buffet table and grab a bite to eat. Slapping three slices of pizza and some chips into my plate, I sat down on one of the sofas and ate whilst everyone danced and had fun around me.

"Megan!" Michaels voice quietly yelled over the music as he came bouncing over to me dressed as a pirate. "Michael! I feel like I haven't seen you in ages." I smiled as I hugged him. "I like your costume."
"Yours too." I said. "I thought you weren't coming tonight?" He asked. "I wasn't going to, I told my parents no but I changed my mind a couple of days ago. I love Halloween so there's no point in sitting at home handing candy out to kids."
"Well, there might be a tiny problem."
"What? What problem?" I asked.
"Calum wasn't going to come because he knew you were going to be here and you didn't want to talk to him. But then you said you weren't coming so he decided to come."

"So you're telling me Calum is here? Somewhere in this house?" I asked, and Michael nodded. "Well then I have to go, I don't want to see him." I turned on my heels to leave but Michael stopped me. "You can't just leave because of him. You might not even see him."
"Michael, this is a house, of course I'm going to bump into him at some point- oh my god he's coming!" I quickly jumped over the sofa and hid at the back of it.

"Hey Mike, what are you doing?" Calum asked. His voice was like music to my ears. "I was actually going to get some food. Want to come?"
"I'm good, let's just stay here. I think mom has some party games for everyone and I'm not that bothered about joining in with. Maybe if Megan was here and we were still friends, I probably would've of, she loves party games."
"Why don't you just tell her what you were talking about?" Michael sighed. "I tried, she keeps ignoring me."

"Well, she won't anymore." Michael said and I felt a pair of arms pick me up from behind the sofa. "Get off of me!" I yelled, trying to wrigggle out if Michaels grip but he was much stronger than me. "Megan? What-"
"You two are going to sort this out by talking to each other." Michael took us both by the wrists and dragged us out the back before closing the door and leaving us alone.

"What are you doing here? You weren't supposed to be here." I asked, leaning on the wall and folding my arms. "You weren't supposed to be here. I got the message that you didn't want to see me, so I decided not to turn up to the party. But you weren't coming so I came." Calum said leaning on the wall opposite me. "Quick question though, why were you hid behind the sofa?"
"You were coming over and I wanted to avoid you. Behind the sofa was the best place to hide." I told him, realising how stupid that must've been.

"Can I please explain now what me and Ashton were talking about?" He begged. "I mean, you might as well. Looks like Michael has us locked out here for a while.

"Finally! You know I love you and that I'd never just use you for sex. Not going to lie, it was the best sex ever but that's not the point. We were just casually talking when Ash asked where you were so I told him you'd gone for a walk. Then he started talking about us and asked how far we'd ever gone and obviously I wasn't going to tell him because I didn't know how you felt about me telling everyone what we'd done. What I said wasn't serious, it was sarcasm Megan. You know me, I'm a very sarcastic guy, except the part about it being the best sex, that wasn't sarcasm but back to the point. I'm sorry you walked in on me saying that but it wasn't serious. I hate myself for saying it when I didn't even mean it. I would never use a girl like that." He explained, while I just stood there listening.

"Well, I feel like an idiot, and it's not because I'm stood dressed like a female clown." I sighed. "For the record, I like your costume." He smiled, making me laugh because of the clown makeup he had all over his face. "So, are you going to come back home? I've really missed you." He smiled sadly.

"I don't know Calum, I really like living with my parents. I guess I just missed them." I told him, sitting on the cold pavement below me feet. "I'm sorry. I don't think I'm coming back to the flat anytime soon."

"Guys!" Michael exclaimed, pushing the door open and popping his head around the side. "You're missing the party games! I'll let you both back in now."

Just for the record, Megan did not dress up as Harley Quinn from the batman series or suicide squad, she simply went as a harlequin which if you don't know, is basically a female version of a clown. Calum also dressed up as a clown not the joker:):)
