Lydia was the first one of her friends in the parking lot on the first day back at school. Now, instead of resembling the queen of the school, she was now the quiet senior who at that current moment looked like a complete loner.

Lydia stood awkwardly watching the freshman's stroll by, squealing and screaming about what had happened over the holidays. She clutched her books close to her chest, the younger students were making her feel self conscious.

After what seemed like an eternity, Scott finally pulled up in his motorbike, then Stiles in his jeep with Kira and Malia.

"Uh, guys, why did you all come to school together and leave me?!" Lydia complained as she approached their parking spaces.

"Because Lydia, we asked you last night and you said your mom was taking you" Scott said, matter of factly.

"Oh... yeah, sorry." Lydia shook off her embarrassment and spun around, making her way to the school doors. "Are you coming?" She turned back to look just as Malia came running up behind her and linked their arms.

Lydia instantly felt a sense of security, and like she had her friends back, in particular; Malia.

She picked up her shoulders, squeezing Malia's arm and waited for the others to catch up after they'd helped Kira with her shoe tragedy.

"Let's do this" Stiles punched the door opened, extravagantly bursting into the hallway.

He had been expecting some sort of royal welcome, what with being a senior and all, but everyone carried on their day like normal; completely ignoring the lunatic who'd practically ran into the school.

"Stiles, dude why are you so eager to start school?" Liam called, greeting them after putting books in his locker.

"Liam, the thing is this is my last year, and as much as I'll miss you my friend, I can't wait to leave!" Stiles yelled a little too loudly, earning disapproving looks from teachers passing by.

"If you don't mind, shut the hell up and don't breathe a word about-" Malia cut herself off, staring down at her stomach.

Liam's eyes nearly left their sockets. "You're pregnant?"

"Yes, now ssh." Malia panicked, silencing Liam before he accidently announced it to everyone standing close to them.

"Why are you still in school then?" Liam whispered, respecting Malia's wish of keeping quiet.

"Because it's not showing yet and I feel fine. I'll work out what I have to do when that day comes" Malia stayed calm.

"Uh, no. You need to plan ahead..." Lydia pointed out.

"Can we talk about this later? I don't want to do this right now" Malia said as the bell rang, and she was able to swerve through the crowd and escape all of her friends.

She'd completely forgotten that Stiles and Scott were in her registration class, so once she'd settled in her chair, thinking she could escape the stress of everything going on in her life; Stiles and Scott slid into the two chairs behind her.

"Malia, hey how are you?" Stiles leaned over her shoulder, acting as if they hadn't had a conversation that morning.

"What do you want?" Malia snapped, with more force than she anticipated.
