"Oh, look who had too much to drink.",

Sanji teased as he entered the bathroom where Zoro was cowering over the toilet, coughing and gagging.

"... Fuck off!"

The swordsman snapped and tried to give him the most hateful look he could pull off, but Sanji saw the pain in his eyes anyway.

This naive man couldn't fool him.

"I'm sorry, calm down... Can I help you somehow? Bring you anything?"

However hard he tried to sound like he didn't care, one would've needed to be deaf not to hear the concern in his voice.
But Zoro of course didn't notice it.

"No, leave me alone!"

He didn't sound as defensive this time, still angry enough to scare anyone but Sanji away, though.

The cook kneeled down next to him, endless thoughts of how to comfort him racing through his mind as he placed a soothing hand on Zoro's back.

"I'm fine, just go away."

The green haired man almost sounded pleading now, desperately trying to make him leave, so he wouldn't get to see him show any weakness.

"Just let me take care of you, idiot!"

Zoro wanted to disagree, but was silenced by hot, acid-like feeling vomit.
It burned his throat as he threw up once again and the blonde's left hand made his way from Zoro's back to his left shoulder, pulling the trembling man close, his warmth actually giving him a feeling of comfort and home.

"Shh, there you go, it's alright."

Sanji whispered, not really knowing what to do, but still somewhat secure.

Half an hour later, the cook gently nudged Zoro who winced at the touch.

"Are you feeling well enough to lay down or still too nauseous?"

The swordsman had rested his head on Sanji's shoulder, his tears soaking into the fabric of his white shirt.
His cheeks were burning and crimson red.
One possible explanation for that of course was that he was blushing out of shame or because he was so close to Sanji, but the blonde forced himself to shrug it off as a result of the alcohol.

Zoro sighed before he lifted his head up to nod weakly.

"I'm good."

His voice was hoarse, every word hurt his sore throat.

"Come on, off to bed then."

Sanji slowly rose to his feet and shyly reached for the green haired man's hand to help him up.
He blushed ever so sightly as he felt Zoro's cold hand in his own warm one and pulled him up to his feet.
Their hands stayed interlocked for a long and awkward moment and when they both were wearing the deepest shade of red on their faces that was possible, they eventually let go.

"Can you walk on your own?"

Zoro nodded.
Of course he would've never said 'no', it meant admitting that he needed help, that he wasn't invincible.

No one thought he was invincible, but still, knowing that he had never broken down in front of them comforted him somehow.
He had yet to find out how much better it was to just break down and get comforted by others.

He stumbled into his room, gritting his teeth at the severe pain in his head and once again letting tears slip from his eyes.

"Fuck..."

He cursed under his breath and slumped on his bed, the ceiling turning before his eyes.

"Fuck, man!"

He groaned loudly, doubling over in pain as he did so.
Before he could do anything else, Sanji was standing besides him, placing his right hand on his forehead and slowly letting it wander into his soft green hair.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left you alone... What happened?"

His words came out as a whisper.
He could barely speak, too many emotions were making his voice waver, too honest was his concern and his fear for the man in front of him.

"I'm fine, really. Just a headache and my stomach hates me a bit, but that's just fair, I guess."

He closed his eyes and pressed his head more into the cook's hand, wanting more contact.
He was longing for the feeling of safety and home it gave him.

"Do you want to drink some water?"

Zoro nodded hesitantly as he opened his eyes again.

"Okay, you'll need to sit up just a bit, can you do that?"

He nodded once again, propping himself on his arms and slowly rising from the bed.
As soon as he was sitting steadily, holding himself up on his elbows and lower arms, a glass was brought to his lips and he drank eagerly, water running down his chin and dropping onto his shirt.
He felt the coldness of it as his clothes absorbed it immediately.
Zoro emptied the glass rather quickly, the liquid calmed his irritated throat.

"Thank you, Sanji."

He gratefully looked up to the man who was looking down at him tenderly.

"No problem, no problem at all."

He cooed gently whilst he pulled the covers up to the swordsman's chest.

"Do you want a cup of tea or something?"

The green haired man looked at the cook confusedly until he realised that he was shaking.
He hadn't even noticed and he wasn't even cold.
He just shook his head and Sanji took it as an opportunity to slip his left hand underneath Zoro's head, the swordsman's cheek laying in the palm of the blonde's hand, his fingertips reaching Zoro's hair in a teasing manner.
Not teasing for the swordsman, no, for the cook.
Feeling his soft hair, smelling his scent... He wanted to kiss him and mark him, he wanted him all to himself.
But he of course couldn't just do that.
Fuck.
The green haired man snuggled into his touch, letting out a satisfied mewl and closing his eyes happily.

All his worries about being annoying or seeming weak had been washed away, he had completely forgotten about his fear of not knowing what to do whenever he got close to anyone.
He actually wanted to get closer to the blonde cook.

He didn't exactly know what he felt and why, but it was really strange and confusing.
And still, he was somewhat calm whenever Sanji was around.

He would do anything for him and he would let him do anything to and with him.

"Do you want me to stay?"

Sanji suddenly interrupted his thoughts and the green haired man immediately felt bad for ignoring him like that.
His heart was beating painfully hard and fast against his chest, he had never felt this vulnerable in his life before and if he hadn't been that happy at the same time, he would've said that it's the worst feeling ever.

But it wasn't.
