A/N: I am re-writing this series. If you were wondering why it it disappeared all of a sudden was because no one told me it sucked. Please be honest it sucked. If you don't know what I'm talking about good for you!
"Alchemy, the science of understanding the structure of matter and breaking it down and reconstructing it into something else. It could even turn lead into gold. But Alchemy is a science, so you must follow it's natural laws. To create something, something of equal value so must be lost; that is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. But the law is imperfect, for somethings cannot be measured on a simple scale. There is a taboo among Alchemist, Human Transmutation, for what can equal the value of a human life." - Hiromu Arakawa
This'll help explain the "magic" in the story. If you have any questions they go here.
If anybody reads these author's notes then please comment what your strongest emotion is. The first person to comment their strongest emotion first then I might tag them and use a part of their name in future chapters.
E/A/N (End of Author's Note)
The bunch of men gazed down on me. The men wore coats of science and had the looks of mad men. A normal day I would say. A normal day spent strapped to a bed of steel. A normal day spent stuck in this torturous prison being experimented on by illegal laboratory workers. Today the men were scurrying around quicker and more tense the usual. A needle probably rusted on their needle bed. After a couple of hours of this I'll be sent to the library or to practice the scientific art of alchemy to test my intelligence growth.
I was created by a poor and selfish man and woman who gave me to an illegal lab for money. I am an experiment meant to be tested over and over again. I am nothing more than an expendable tool. When I get rusty and break I will be useless. I have no future, it's a one way road to hell and you'll break quicker if you try to escape so why hope. Why hope for change when the only change you'll get is how many stitches you have by the end of the night.
I have no name. I am a beast, about 95% human and 5% fox. I am an Alchemist. I am the bridge between something and something new. There are 15 other girls exactly like me, well make that 11. Four of the girls broke last week. At one time I put marks on the wall for how many nights I was , but I gave up on night 4,746. I don't have a name, but my number is 1,645 out of 7,893 test subjects. The scientist got the tools out for undoing stitches and cutting open test subjects. When I could still feel pain this procedure hurt the most.
Dr. León, Ponce towered over me and stared straight into my eyes and stretched his lips ear to ear and glared at me with his evil grin. "This is our last chance, we don't want to make another mistake. Heh heh." He sat up and turned to his table of tools where he grabbed a weird pair of scissors and held down my left arm and began the test. The pain didn't bother me much, I've gotten used to this. I took a breath and smelt something strange in the air. It smelt like the fox chimera girls; the ones that disappeared a week ago. But it wan't them, it smelt like their, blood? Lots of it, but why? The other scientist were still running around and taking notes and documenting everything. Normally I would not curious about what's going on, but now I want to know. I sniffed the air again and focused. Bodies? Why are all the other ones like me dead? Are they doing that? I have to get out!
After Dr. León turned away from me with the scissors I started squirming and kicking the table. "It's a smart one isn't it. It doesn't know what 's going down. Heh heh." The Dr. found my attempts humorous as he turned back to the table while the other scientist tightened and added more straps to hold me down. I almost was able to bite one of their hands but I doubt the would do anything to stop this. Wait, why am I struggling? I can't get out of here. Do I value my god forsaken life? Actually, scratch that. If there was a god then I would be free; do I value my forsaken life.
"Oh good, doggy. It realized that it had no hope and couldn't escape. What a smart doggy, heh heh heh." He picked up a test tube with a red, boiling liquid with a test tube holder and smiled at me. "Don't worry doggy, it will only hurt a lot. Heh heh, if you thought you knew pain try a bite of this." Someone put a leather strap in my mouth while he slowly poured the boiling liquid, which was safe to call blood, into the cut.
"RAAHHHHAHHHAHHRAHHHRRRRAAAAAHAHA!!!!" The Dr pulled up his lab coat sleeve to reveal his arm tattooed by many transmutation circles. He activated one of the circles and then there was a flash of light. The pain wasn't nearly as bad as having the boiling blood of someone else's being pored into the cut on my arm. Before I felt like the insides of me was taking a bath in a couple 100 degrees Celsius water, but now I feel like a warm burning flame. "Heh heh heh. It worked... Doggy I think I'm starting to like you." I spit out the leather strip that I had already bit through in many spots and growled.
Dr. León frowned down upon me. He pulled down his sleeve and put on his gold gloves and left. Once the doctor left I then realized that my hair was flickering like a flame, redder than it's natural orange color. My hands were glowing a dark red-orange flame. I was making black marks on the steel table. All the scientist were awed and kept mumbling "It actually worked!" and other things like that. I took a deep breathe and blacked out.
. . .
Actually, scratch that. I am a monster, I am 93% human, 5% fox chimera and 2% conflagration.
