My eye lids flitter open as I see the wooden ceiling above. A large yawn escapes my lips as I flip over on my bed to see Dipper staring wide eyed at me. "Took you long enough," He sighs as he slowly gets up. "Creep," I whisper as I lay back down on my back.

"Get up, the Mystery Shack is opening in an hour," he says as he pulls at my legs. "Uuggghhhh," I mumble as I'm slowly pulled off the small bed and hit the atic floor hard. "Ow!" I yell rubbing my buzzum while getting up.

We walk out our room in silence and walk down the rickety old stairs. Sure Dipper and I are 23, and sure we're living under the same roof...And sleeping in the same room....But I find it perfectly normal, and I'm sure Dipper does, too. Hopefully.

We walk in the kitchen to see Soos and Melody flirting and feeding each other pancakes. It only makes me jealous, and Dipper disgusted. Everytime I see them being flirty or kissing or making love, (Yes, I did walk in on them, and frankly I'm a little scarred,) I say, and am going to say right now, "lucky..."

And they look over at me, with Melody giving me a simple wink, and Soos giving me a thumbs up, and Dipper shaking his head in misery.

"So, uh, how's the whole, boat thing going Dipper?" Soos asks worriedly like he always does, as he walks over to the stove to flip his dinosour shapes Pancakes. "Oh, with the money Im earning from my book, The Down-Right Terrifying Truth of Gravity Falls, and the little money you give me by working here, I'd say I could probably afford a boat in three or so years," He sighs.

"And how much money did you get from your books?" I mock. ".... $67..." He mumbles. "And how much did you spend publishing the book?" I mock again. "....Three....hundred bucks..." He sighs as he stomps out the kitchen. "I'm going out for a walk! I'll be back when the shack opens!" He shouts as he slams the door shut behind him.

I laugh as Soos tosses me a dinosour shaped pancake. "Aren't we a little too old for dinosour shapes pancakes, Soos?" I ask, looking at the T-Rex shaped pancake flopping around as I hold it. "No ones too old for anything, Mabel." Soos says seriously as he kissed Melody on the head and walks out to do some Mystery Shack buisness stuff I presume.

As I shove the pancake in my mouth Melody looks up at me and sighs. "You should be a little nicer with your brother, he seems really worried about your guys' grunkles."

I pull the dino back out and laugh a little. "They're genuis', they probably captured all the monsters they came across. Heck, they probably found a huge island and built a bad ass mansion, hunting ghosts like Ghost Busters and making their own little theme song!" I say, tossing my pancake in the air and watching it drop to the ground.

I toss it in the garbage can,  I don't trust these floors.

"Or...They could be In trouble. Mabel it's been ten years," Melody says sternly, "Ten years, and no sign of them, nothing. No calls, nothing about them in the news, not even an old timey letter."

I bite my lips hard and hear the front door loudly open, followed by loud foot steps coming towards the kitchen.

Dipper runs in with the news in his hand, depression striking his face, tears rolling down his eyes, sweat dripping everywhere.

What a nasty sight.

"D-Dipper?" I ask as I get up and hold his back.

"S-Stan, F-Ford--" he cries out of breath.

I gasp as I see our grunkles faces on the cover of the news article.

"OUR GRUNKLES" I yell happily as I snatch away the article. "Grunkles?" Soos says as he walks in excited.

"They're on the cover of the news!" I say happily as I look down at the words. Dipper stays silent, looking down.

'It's almost been exactly 10 years since saviors of Gravity Falls, Stanford Pines and Stanley Pines, ventured off to explore the mysteries of the Antartic ocean. No sign of them at all have been reported, and our search teams have found nothing in the past years, loosing four of our searchers in the year, 2020 drowning in the oceans, and supposedly being eaten by a strange sea monster. Though, when we sent our searchers out for the third time, they found on a mysterous undiscovered island, where they discovered peices of the Pines' boat, with painted words of, 'Stan O' War ||,' had been found. The island was slightly searched until  six of the crew members were murdered by an unexplained monster, with the remaining four fleeing the island. Mark Anthony said, 'We barely made it out alive, and the creature is unexplainable! Chances are high that Stanford and Stanley are dead. No doubt about it!'
Some people are still resisting the fact that the Pines' are dead, and don't believe of such a monster. But probably and most definitely; They're dead.'

Since this is the first chapter, it's short. Sorry. The Other ones will hopefully be longer because I like making really long chapters, but it's harder and takes a LOT more time, like months. I may not be updating any of my other books for a while, I'm now mainly focusing on this. That's all I have to write so bye.
