POV
12:58 am
Location, somewhere in the woods. I think I'm near the middle. The trees are thick and the ground is heavy with dead leaves.
I can't remember how I got here. Maybe I got too drunk at the party. Or maybe my drink was spiked and I passed out and was dragged out here, someone thinking this is funny. My phones battery is at 24%. There isn't much light coming through the leaves on the trees.
No owls are hooting, no squirrels are scuttling amongst the branches. I don't think there are any animals where I am..
After 10 minutes of trying to find my way out, I try to call somebody.. Maybe my parents? No, I don't want them to know. Police..?
Crap, batteries at 10%. I'll just call the police..It took almost a minute to connect to the call. "Hi, you have reached the police, please take a minute, as you will be on hold."
Damnit. Ok this is bad. I'm panicking! I don't have time to wait. It's going to take half an hour to be off hold anyways. But I am lucky I can get reception. I'm sure Mike will answer my call..
"Hey there."
Oh good, ok I'm lost right now-
"Right now, I can't answer, sorry. I'll call back when I get to my phone."
DAMNIT! Why is no one answering their damn phones?!
Ah crap! 4% left on my phone! I have to wait for Mike to call back. If I use my phone anymore, it'll go flat.
What was that?? I think I heard something! Could it just be the wind? I hope wind can get this far into the woods...
Thank god! A cabin! I could ask the people in there for directions.
*Knock knock knock*
Um, why was the door left unlocked? It just opened when I knocked on it..
Would a cabin have telephone access? What will the owners do if they see a stranger in their cabin? Will they shoot me? What is a cabin doing so far in the woods anyway??Great, no telephone in here. No phone charger either, no electricity as well. Best cabin ever..
At least there's a flashlight here. I hope they don't mind me.... Borrowing it..
I quickly check the time on my phone before I head out. 1:33 am. I'd love to stay in this cabin, but it smells disgusting, and I don't want to intrude any longer than I have to.
As soon as I step out of the door, a loud screeching noise is heard from the distance, but I'm not sure what direction. I hope it's a car! That means I'm close to civilisation! Even though I thought I was deep in the woods..
I start jogging through the thick layer of leaves, hoping to find a road and some help.
