Family... (Chapter 12)

I walked into the house after the randomness happening with the boyz to find Jakey sitting at the dinning room table. Just sitting there, staring at nothing in particular.

"Um, hey Jakey?" I said, trying to get his attention.

"Hey Lexa. Can I talk to you?" he said, finally blinking and looking up from staring at outer space.

"Uh, sure." I said, hesitant. I sat down across from him at the table. "what do you want to talk to me about?"

"Well I just want to apologise for the way I acted yesterday at the rest stop. I didn't really mean to yell at you." he said, dropping his gaze from my eyes to the table.

"It's fine. I just over reacted about it." I shrugged.

"No it's not fine. I shouldn't be lashing out like that. I was just very stressed and annoyed about the move. I really didn't like the fact that I had no say in it what so ever and I was also the last one to know. Let alone it not even being Bryan or mom telling me, you saying it expecting me to have already known hurt. Because that means they just didn't really want me knowing till we left." He paused, I could tell that wasn't all he wanted to tell me.

"First of all, they told Chelsy before me even! I was texting her today wondering how long before me she actually knew. I never actually found out how long she knew. But I did end up finding out that it wasn't the fact that she didn't like me anymore that she broke up with me." he laughed and shook his head, then looked up at me. I could easily see the hurt in his eyes. "Mom and Bryan confronted her one day when they saw her. That day they told her to things." the tears built up in his eyes. "I wasn't even the one to have tell her we were moving. They did. And they also decided that it would be much easier for me to move if the move wasn't the reason that me and Chelsy broke up. They told her to tell me that she lost feelings for me and it would be much easier for me." he took another second. "They once again tried to chose what was best for me, without even actually countering in my feelings." He chuckled again. "Over the last year they seem to be doing that a lot." He let a single tear slip down his face then tried to hold the others back. He wasn't lying. The day that him and Chelsy broke up, he locked himself in his room and that just wasn't his normal self. So I went to comfort him and while we were talking I said something about him being able to have a fresh new start when we moved to Jersey. He just gave me a puzzled look, then started shooting questions at me as fast as a bullet being shot out of a gun. After he started to slow down and I could actually understand what he was saying I was taken back by the fact that he hadn't been told before then. And still till now I haven't been able to, nor have I wanted to ask mom why yet.

"It's funny. The day before Chelsy broke up with me I was sitting at the kitchen table with mom, after me and Chelsy's date, telling her about how much Chelsy lightens up my world. I mean you and KK light up my life too. But it was different with Chelsy. Figures mom and Bryan would be the ones to blame for that light going out." He sniffed, telling me that he may break any second. He looked back up and looked me in the eyes and chuckled once again. "You know. It really shouldn't have surprised me that mom and Bryan were behind this too." He shook his head one last time. "Well thanks sis for the talk." With that he got up from his seat, calmly walked down the hallway to his room, then slammed his door.

He was right. Mom and Bryan were the reason for most of the horrible things that has happened to me and Jacob. I mean, Jacob has gone through much, much more then me. But we have both gone through a lot. Mine have been easier to fix and not as big as Jacob's but they were still there. As for Jacob, he's been left out of being told we were moving across the country to New Jersey, being broken up with by his girlfriend, and losing the best friend that he had been friends with since they were babies.
