I wiped the remainder of black makeup from the party last night from my eyes and made my way downstairs for breakfast. My dad served me a plate of pancakes and I ate them whilst watching reruns of FRIENDS. "Are you actually going to speak to Calum today?" Mom asked as she sat on the sofa next to me. I just shrugged. I didn't know what to answer.
I had no answer. I felt so stupid for just jumping to conclusions about blocking Calum out, but I wasn't ready to jump back into the relationship yet. I was just so caught up in the moment when Calum and I were dating, I just forgot about everything that had happened in the past.
Whatever happened between Luke and I, messed me up badly when it came to relationships. I was always thinking I wasn't good enough for them or maybe they were sick of me and moved into someone else behind my back because they couldn't tell me to my face. Sometimes I just wish that Luke was single and everything worked out between us, that way I wouldn't be caught up in all this Calum mess.
"Well, I'm going to work, I'll see you later honey." Mom smiled before picking up her keys and leaving. Dad shot me a quick smile before also leaving for work. I sighed and sat up straight on the sofa, hugging my knees close to my chest and sat in complete silence for a few minutes.
I made my way to my bedroom and ran a brush through my hair and applying a little eyeliner to make myself look a little presentable later on. I pulled on an oversized hoodie, and kept my pyjama shorts on. I was halfway through tying my hair up into a bun when there was a quiet knock on the door.
I left my hair and headed downstairs, slowly opening the door to see Calum standing there.
"Cal-" I started.
"Can I just ask you something?" He asked and I stood there, waiting for him to continue. But since this conversation wasn't heading anywhere, I have him a small nod telling him he was allowed to speak. "Why won't you come home?"
"I am home Calum." I spoke quietly.
"No, you live with me now Megan. I've already told you everything and you understood everything last night. Why can't you just forget about it?"
"You do realise that you just standing here, shouting in my face isn't going to make me come back to the apartment. You might as well just sell it and go to your parents because I'm not coming back. And I don't think that we'll be getting back together anytime soon before you start asking questions about us.""Fine." Calum sighed when I'd finished. "At least I know how you feel. Now you've got me wondering if you ever loved me at all during the entire time we dated." He turned around and started to walk away.
"Of course I loved you Calum. That's so unfair. If I didn't love you, why would I not totally of freaked out when we kissed for the first time? Or when I came into your bedroom the next morning and told you I loved you? Or agree to be your girlfriend when you asked me? Or go on dates with you, even when they were just 2am trips to Panda Express? Or let you have sex with me? Why would I do that Calum if I didn't love you?" And with that, I closed the door in his face.-
