"Ayato-kun..." Hinami said nervously, as the male walks in. "Oh... Hinami. Is something wrong?" He asks, slightly concerned.
"N-no... I'm okay." She assured. "Are you?" The brunette questions of him.
"Yeah I guess." He shugged. "Is there something you needed?" He asks her.
"No.. You just always seem so angry.." She mutters, nervous.
"I can't help being angry. Does it matter?" He says, sharp as ever, as he throws himself down onto the couch.
"Why are you always angry?" Hinami asks, as she plays with her hands, intently.
"Why do you want to know? It's not important..." Ayato rolls his eyes.
"I'm just curious... sorry Ayato.." Hinami apologises quickly, not wanting to make him mad.
Ayato sighs. "It's fine. I just don't like it." He shrugs.
"I-I won't ask again..." She looks down, embarresed.
"I just said it's fine."He frowns and crosses his arms.
Hinami looks back at him. "Uh.. how was your day?"
Ayato scoffs. "Shitty as always. How about yours?"
Hinami sighs. "Dull, as normal.. the news showed nothing new, of use anyway."
"Hmm well I couldn't find any good food." He says, softly to her.
"Oh... did you get anything at all?" The smaller brunette questions softly.
"Ha. No. I couldn't find anything good enough. They were all disgusting." He sighs and looks away, with a derisive wrinkle of his nose. "You hungry Hina?"
Hinami shakes her head. "I can handle it..." She smiles softly at him, a bleak attempt at reassurance.
Ayato frowns softly. "Do you want to find food with me? If you're hungry you should eat."
Hinami shakes her head desperately. "I'd just slow you down..."
Ayato shrugs. "I don't care. I don't want to go fast. I want you to see you get food."
Hinami speaks up quietly. "I dont think I can.. I'm too nervous.."
Ayato rolls his eyes. "Come on. I'll help. If you really don't want to I can take over."
she looks back at him. "Okay, I'll try." She smiles weakly.
"Good. Let's go." He smiles slightly and grabs her hand, pulling her outside and through an allyway.
She's clearly nervous, wringing her hands. "Okay.." She stands still in the alley.
Ayato smiles and points to a guy walking towards them, pulling Hinami behind a bin. "Him. He smells good." He says this with an air of calm, but it did little to settle Hina's nerves. Regardless, she nods in agreement. "He does... what do I do..?" She asks, nerves clear in her tone.
"Just attack him. Let your ghoul side take over. Just let your hunger drive you." He says simply. She steps closer to the man, tentative. Ayato stands back and watches, a small smirk on is face as the man walks closer to Hinami; she freezes up slightly. "Uhm.." She looks right at the man. The guy frowns and grips something that he had in his hand. Ayato frowns and watches more carefully. Hinami stands frozen, scared. "Uhm.." She thinks about throwing a hit, not quite doing it. The guy notices she was a ghoul and brings the case up in his hand, turning it into a weapon and going to attack her. Ayato's eyes widen and he throws himself in from of Hinami, hugging her to his chest protectively as he gets hit across his back, crying out in pain. Hinami squeals into his chest. "Ayato!"
He tightens his grip on her as his Kagune appears from his back, his eyes squeezed shut. "W-We need to leave... Now."
Hinami nods. "Are you okay to go?" She asks him gently, concerned.
"I-It'll be better to leave than stay and die." He smiles slightly and fires his sharp crystal like things at the dove before grabbing her arm and running, blood dripping from his back and onto the floor.
Hinami keeps up as best she can, running her hardest, terrified for her life. Ayato runs around to loose the guy before running back to their shelter and inside, closing the door and collapsing against the wall. "Sh-shit.." Ayato mutters.
"We don't have any food, do we?" Hinami asks.
Ayato shakes his head and leans forward. "It hurts..."
Hinami frowns. "You need to eat, to heal." She holds out her wrist to him.
"Hinami... I can't... I don't want to hurt you." He looks away and bites his lip.
Hinami frowns. "Please... You need to heal.."
"F-Fine... But tell me when to stop." He says as he moves closer and takes her arm, gently biting into her wrist. Hinami scrunches up her face, having no intention of stopping him.
Ayato groans lightly and pulls her closer, biting down slightly harder, blood dripping down his face. Hinami bites her lip to stop from crying out. Ayato eventually forced himself to pull away and wipes his mouth, leaning back. "Thanks..."
Hinami just nods, her eyes watering and her lip bleeding from her biting it.
"Hina..." He sighs and gently pulls her down into his lap, wiping her lip with his thumb. "I'm sorry..."
Hinami shakes her head. "I-it's okay.. you're okay now." She wipes her eyes with her hand.
Ayato frowns slightly. "I didn't mean to bite down so hard... Will it heal?"
Hinami nods. "It will, besides.. its okay. You were injured."
"I'm fine now. It's still sore though... It went right over where my Kagune is..."
Hinami looks alarmed. "Are you sure youre okay?!"
"Probably." He shrugs nonchalantly and puts her beside him, pulling his shirt up and turning his back to her. His shoulders were red and quite swollen. "Does it look ok?"
"Just red, swollen..." She looks worried. "Oh, you should have just let me get hit!"
"I couldn't. I don't want to see you hurt." He sighs and lets his shirt drop back down. Hinami hugs him, tight. "Oh, Ayato..."
He hugs back and lays his head on her shoulder. "I... I l-love you..."
"...I... love you too.." She says, nervously. He smiles and kisses her cheek. Hinami giggles softly, and snuggles closer. "Thank you Ayato."
He chuckles and leans back against the wall, hissing in pain before leaning into her. "You don't n-need to thank me..."
Hinami leans up to kiss his cheek. "I do. You do so much for me.. You sacrificed yourself today..."
"That's because you deserve the best. Not here. Not me. I'm just trying to be the best I can." He smiles slightly and moves closer. She snuggles her face into his neck. "You are the best I could have..."
"I-I'm really not..." He mumbles and kisses her cheek.
"You give yourself too little credit... take the compliment Ayato-kun."
"Tsk..Fine... But you're the prettiest girl I've ever met. I mean that. You're so skilled and amazing. You just need to accept being what you are."
Hinami flushes red. "I need to get better. Besides, you're extremely handsome, and heaps more talented, skilled and stronger than me."
"Y-You're still amazing... And I'm not handsome..." He looks away, blushing lightly. He's nervous.
Hinami looks him dead in the eye. "You, Ayato, are very handsome." She presses kisses to both of his cheeks.
Ayato blushes darkly and sighs, smiling slightly. "And you're very beautiful." He leans in and kisses her lightly. Hinami flushes a deeper red. Ayato pulls away and looks down, his face red. "S-Sorry..."
She grabs his face lightly with her hands, pulling it to hers, and pressing a kiss to his lips. "Don't be sorry, not about that."
Ayato nods and stares into her eyes. "I just thought you didn't like it..."
Hinami giggles. "I'm just nervous, silly."
"Oh... Well sorry." He blushes and smiles at her.
Hinami shakes her head, smiling sofly, before finding the courage to kiss his lips again.
Ayato hums lightly and kisses back, smiling slightly. He pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her. The smaller brunette girl holds him as close as she can, kissing him softly. The dark haired bou closes his onyx eyes and pushes her into the wall lightly, his breathing shaky.
Hinami flushes a light pink, still holding tight.
He pulls away and leans down, kissing her neck lightly. "Mmm~ Hina..."
Hinami cannot say anything, for she's lost for words.
He lays his head on her shoulder. "I love you Hina..."
