I'm watching the news on TV and it says there's some virus outbreak "Jeez that's near us," I say quietly to myself.I start shouting for my dad so he can see the news,"Dad!" No answer
"DAD!" No answer again.I get up and went to go look for him.
I try looking around the house but he is nowhere to be seen, then his phone starts to ring, I pick it up, "H-h-hello,"
"Amber is your father there I need to speak to him,'
"N-no I can't find him uncle Jaime"
"I really need to speak to-............"the line cuts off.
I try to ignore what just happened,so I walk over to the window.I wonder what uncle Jaime wanted to speak to him about?My thoughts were interrupted as the door burst open,"Omg Dad there you are you got a call from uncl-,"I got cut of.
"Listen Amber you need to stay away from the windows something serious is happening so I need you to stay away,"He sounded serious but I wanted to know why.
".............W-why," I asked curiously
"I'll tell you later just stay away from the doors..... I can't loose you as well,"I see a tear run down his cheek.I decide not to say anything else so I just sit on the sofa.
I carried on watching the rest of the news when something smashed the glass on the patio door at the back.I see something run towards me
"DAD!!"I shouted for him.He ran back into the living room and took his shot gun from the table and shot the person in the head
"DAD WHY DID YOU SHOOT HIM!,"
"He was infected he was trying to bite you."He said sounding concerned.
"Bite me why the hell does he want to bite me,that son of a bitc-!"I was about to finish my sentence when my dad but in
"Amber watch your language, now I'll pack water, food and you go upstairs to pack clothes then meet me in the living room."
"Okay." I replied.
I ran up to my room and got some clothes and shoes I decided to pack some of dads clothes but then I saw something shining on the floor, it was my necklace locket with me, Mum and Dad.I stared at it for a while
"I wish you were still with us Mummy,"I whispered to my self as a tear rolled down my cheek.I put the locket around my neck as fast as I could,i ran downstairs to meet my dad in the living room.
He's Standing there with two big backpacks of food and water I also have a big back pack with some of my clothes and Dads.
"Ready to go,"Dad asked me, and I just nodded and he grabbed my hand and we went out the door.
