Shiroya Ai Kiyomi, age 16. He has been with his sister ever since the incident, and will not leave her side. They have an especially close relationship, which sometimes makes other uncomfortable. However, they love each other, and will fend for each other no matter what.
He is somewhat confident, and very nice, but on the inside he is broken and needs desperate healing.

Sayuri Ai Kiyomi, 14, the light of Shiroya's world. She keeps a smile on her face all the time, and makes sure her brother does too. The incident has left her a different person, though she doesn't let it show. She has severe trust issues, and anxiety beyond medical help.
She is delicate but strong-willed, and will do whatever it takes to accomplish the seemingly impossible. She is emotional, but tries to hide it, becoming flustered or embarrassed easily.

Both siblings are indeed nekos, but Shiroya would rather be human, so he is always keeping his ears and tail hidden. Sayuri does not yet know how to conceal her ears.
