Chapter 1

Camila's P.O.V

"Mija, dinner's ready" my mom told to me

"Coming" I said walking into the dining room

'Well Hi my name is Camila Cabello, I am 16 and I'm an only child for now. I've always wanted a baby brother or sister. Well  I just moved to Miami from California. My parents are Sinu and Alejandro  Cabello .It sucks because I'm going be the new kid at my new school I only had one real best friend her name is Dinah Jane Hansen.

As I walked in to the dining room I noticed that my father wasn't there

"Hey Mami"

"Yeah, Karla"

'Oh yeah did I mention my first name is Karla but I really don't like that name so I go by my middle name.'

"Where's Dad?"

"Oh I just got off the phone with him he should be home any minute"

Just as my mother said that the front door opened and closed. I saw my dad and I ran to him and engulfed him in a huge hug. Well my dad is kind of a workaholic so I really don't get to see him a lot.

"Hey Karla" he said and gave me a kiss on the forehead. Then he walked over to my mom and gave her a hug and kiss

We then sat down and started to eat then my dad said

"So Karla how are you feeling about your first day of school tomorrow "

"Well.. I'm excited and nervous. What people bully me I don't have Dinah here to protect me " I started to smile at how many times Dinah almost fought because people were picking on me.

"Mija if anyone bullies you just go to the principal" my mother said

"Mom I will not be a snitch that's only gonna make it worse" I said while playing with my peas

" Karla, I know but I don't want anything to happen to you ."

" Okay Mami I promise"

After dinner I told my mom her and dad can retire to there room and I'll clean up down here. It was  9:32pm so I deiced to go outside and look at the stars. I was sitting in the backyard on the hammock  for about 15 minutes just thinking on how the first day of school would be.  About 5 minutes later I started to see the fence start to move. I thought it was a raccoon until I saw a person on fall from the top of the fence I got scared and ran inside and got a bat. As I was walking back outside I saw that it was a girl she looked about my age she had long black hair she was wearing a black 1975 crop top with a leather jacket and ripped white ripped jeans. When I looked at her leg I realized their was red stuff all over her right leg. It was blood OMG she was bleeding really bad.

Lauren's P.O.V

I was at home doing my homework when I heard the front door slam shut

' Oh shit he's home' I thought Then I Heard him calling mine and my stepbrothers Austins name

"LAUREN AND AUSTIN GET YOUR FUCKING ASSES DOWN HERE NOW" he said slurring his words

'What the hell does he want now and of course he drunk well this is going to be interesting ' I thought before I got up and walked down stairs I saw my father knocking things over trying to stand up. He saw me and started walking towards me

"WHERE THE FUCK  IS AUSTIN" he yelled in my face

"Um he's at Becky's house " Crack I felt my right cheek burning

'What the hell he just hit me. Well I shouldn't be surprised he always does when he gets drunk.'

He walks in the kitchen and grabs a knife. He then walks up to me holding the knife to my face telling me I'm the reason my mother left him.

Then I feel I sharp pain in my right leg I look down seeing that he just stabbed me.

"AAAHHH" I screamed as he pushed it in deeper.

He pulled it out laughing. I pushed him with all my force, he stumbles back and hits the standand tripped. As soon as I push him I started running I make it about 2 blocks always I started to slow down when I saw a house that I though was empty. I climb the fence and fell on my right side on my leg

'Holy fuck that shit hurt' I thought as I got up. I turned around and saw this girl standing in front of me with a bat she had brown hair and she was wearing a white and black crop top with a white skirt with a black bow on her head.

I started walking well limping to her but she held the bat up and backed away.

"Can you please help me" I said right before I collapsed and everything went black.
