I walked in the gym to see my best friends grouped up already. I got my ball and headed to the basket to warm up. Shoot I missed. That's why soccer is my sport not basketball. "Hey Liam!" My friends called to me. "Hey guys. Woah who's she?"
"You mean the new girl next to your twin sister?" Noah said
"Dude she just waved don't just stare" Aiden said snapping my out of my day dream. I smiled back at her turned around shot and made it. "Wow nice shot soccer boy" Ryan said. " Your just jealous cause you didn't make captain this year" I teased. Ryan stuck his tongue out at me and I laughed. All my friends and I were on the soccer team. Noah and I are captains this year. My twin sister, Lily is on the girls team. They don't have captains yet but she's good enough to be one. We're known around school as the soccer twins. Sometimes it's annoying but I gotta love my sister. "That's Arianna the new girl. She goes by Ari." Noah said. " she's hot" Aiden and I said in unison. The whistle blew and we cleaned up. "Alright listen up. Today we are running the mile." The gym teacher said. Everyone groaned... except for Lily and I. We both excitedly said yes! The mile was timed and we all had to beat 10 minutes or we failed the class. It was pretty harsh. We got to the start and the teacher yelled go! Lily and I hung back a bit till others started to fall behind us. "So who's the new girl?" I asked Lily. "Her name is Ariana. She goes by Ari. She just moved her from Maryland so she doesn't know anyone here. " she said. "Wow that's a big move. All the way from Maryland to Oregon?" I asked "Yep" she replied. "She is a soccer player and was captain at her old school. Will you show her around school later? I already told her you would so please just do it." Lily said. "Sure. Can I have your pass so I'm not in trouble for being late?" I asked. "Yeah but you have to get it signed by the principle in the office so head there first." She said "Alright Let's get ahead of these slow pokes now." She said as she sprinted forwards. "Wait for me!" I yelled. We raced each other the whole way and naturally I got a head of her. But to my surprise, Ari passed up Lily! Dang she beat my sister! But I was the first, Noah coming in second then Ari next Lily. My time was 5 minutes 30seconds. Man I have to beat that if I want to get better. Sure I had good endurance and yeah I was fast but I'm not the best and that's what I want to be. The best. "Hey nice run" Ari came up and said. "Thanks. You too. Your Ari right? I'm Liam, Lily's brother. I guess I'm supposed to show you around today huh?" I said. "Yeah." She said back. I looked into her eyes. They were green with just a hint of blue. So beautiful..."So do you want to?" She said "oh sorry what?" I said. "I asked if you want to come over to my house after school to prove to my persistent mom I made friends. Lily can come too." Yeah sure. I'll be there. " I finished as the gym teacher blew the whistle. We rushed in the locker rooms and changed into our clothes. Once I finally got all my stuff, I waited for the bell to ring. I texted Lily to wait with Ari for me at the door so I could take Ari to the office then show her around.
Lily: k just don't be making any moves. It's her first day just be her friend.
Liam: I won't I'm just helping her out
The bell rang and I ran out the door. Man that place smells. I then saw Lily and Ari together at the door. "Hey" I said to Ari. "Hi" she said as she looked down at her shoes and blushed. I told her where we were going and then all of a sudden "You two stop right there!!" A stern voice yelled behind us. I slowly turned my head to see the gym teacher with a piece of paper in his hand. There's only one thing this could mean...
