Chapter 3

Lets go

I was jerked and shaken till I opened my eyes to see the icy blue ones staring at me. "We are leaving in 10 minutes be ready," he said to me quickly.

I got out of bed and put this on a white dress that goes down to my knees then I put leggings and black boots on and finally my belt and quiver. I walk out into the dining hall and look around seeing if everybody if here, all dwarves are accounted for plus me. Gandalf is looking grumpier than normal, "oh no," I think to myself. Wait.....where's Bilbo? I quickly go over to Thorin and ask, " Isn't Bilbo coming?"

"No, I am sorry to disappoint you. He did not sign the contract which means we have no right to wake him up from his beauty rest," he chuckles to himself, "at least you've got me and the rest of the dwarves, oh and Gandalf too. Come on it tis time, lets go."

We start out of the door and Gandalf dramatasizes, "There is no turning back,  this is the beginning of a long and hard quest, the quest of Erebore and the Lonely Mountain."

After some walking I quickened my horse canter to the front of the line and beyond to scout. I feel kind of different there is something that doesn't feel right as we go farther on the Great East Road I feel day javo, like this is where I'm meant to be. I look a head to see what was in front of me. It was beautiful more than anything I have seen in my entire life. I hear the clinckity clong of horse hoofs behind me. I glance to see who or what was behind me, it was Thorin. "Why so antisocial? The group is getting worried."

''I don't know, its just...well....umm...its kinda hard to explain, I feel something....well....you wouldn't care. Forget what I said, it's nothing," I replied awkwardly.

"If you insist. Anyway what caused you to go on this journey I mean you have had nothing to do with us for the past 55 give or take a few years?"

"Um...well...It's kinda hard to explain... so yeah." I felt kind of awkward talking to him, it has been so long and the last time we were together alone we were in love.

"We should get back to the group, they have probably thought we got lost or attacked or something."

"That is a good idea," I said want to escape the awkwardness.

We walked for another 15 minutes, there were small conversations around the group. I mostly stayed quiet and so did Thorin. "WAIT, WAIT, WAIT I SIGNED IT, I SIGNED IT!" someone yelled I guessed it was Bilbo. He ran up to Balin and said, "I signed it."

Balin took a good look over it and said, "everything seems to be in order, welcome Master Baggins to the company of Thorin Okensheild."

"Give him a pony!" Thorin ordered.

"No that won't be nessecary I have done a lot of walking in my day, I once got as far as Frog Morton, Hey Ahh!" he was picked up and lifted on a horse.

I giggled at his face expression.

About 2 hours later

I went in front of the group to find camp, there was a little cave and then a big open area so I decided to wait for them here. I made a fire and sat back and I started singing my favorite song:

"Adrianna! What in durin's name were you thinking!" Gandalf shouted as loud as a belrog.

"I was waiting for you slow pokes to hurry up a bit, I also stubble upon this great place to spend the night thank you," Gandalf was about to say something but before he could I said, "Oh and I have gone ahead the great east road looks good from here. Bomber get a fire going and start to cook something that is edible, I will take the first watch."

"As will I," Thorin ordered. I looked back at him and he smirked at him.

I was walking for about 5 minutes now and found a big rock I could sit on and see the whole camp and its borders.

"so," Thorin said trying not to fall, "feels just like old times doesn't it?"

"Yes, sort of, just with about 12 other dwarves, a hobbit, and a wizard," I reply. We didn't say anything for about to minutes.

Then Thorin spoke up," So what do you plan to do once we get back Erebor?"

"Well...find a husband I suppose, start a family. Keep going on different adventures, I guess. How about you?"

"I plan to be come king obviously, find a wife start a family, protect the ones I love."

"All I want is a peaceful life, like the one I had back in the shire."

We headed back to camp to see that something didn't happen that we missed. We had dinner quietly like no one spoke, I guess they were wondering what happened between Thorin and I because of our past.

"Get some rest we wake at sun rise, Biffur and Buffur take the over night DO NOT fall asleep," Thorin ordered.

I fell into a peaceful slumber.....

So this is the first chapter I posted on the computer! I hope it s a bit longer that my other ones, I am going to work day and night to finish this before December 13, when DoS comes out! Read, Vote, Comment, Follow! I love you guys <3 :)
