"To show his nervousness was not shameful; only to admit it." -Ernest Hemingway

We waited outside the prison, everyone surrounding it as we got into position. My heart was pounding in my throat, and I started to feel dizzy. There was no way I were to let these people off the hook; whoever it was inside. They were to be brought into interrogation so the whole system was torn down. That is, if they even made it to interrogation. I might rip their fucking throat out before we arrive back to the base.

"It's your call, bossman," Alex looked over at me, rifle in hand. He hardly spoke, but when he did, it had to mean something. I nodded at him, giving myself a second to breathe. I felt like Alex could see right through me; like the stress was radiating from my body.

"Yeah," was all I could say, before I tuned into the station we were connected to around the base. A chopper flew over us, ready to locate anyone that ran off.

"Alright. Front post moves now. Everyone follow in after that. Chopper make sure you watch all angles."

"Gotcha, Adams."

"Roger that."

"Copy."

"Let's go," I said, holding the butt of the gun to my shoulder. Alex kicked the door and it flew to the ground. We all filed in, me leading, a couple other guys, and Alex in the back.

"Check anywhere you can find. None of these bastards get out alive."

Just as I said that, I heard the door being blown in from the back of the building. I didn't know the blueprint of this one too well, considering I had only glanced at them 30 minutes prior to arriving here.

We traveled down the north wing, which seemed to be solitary confinement. We walked quietly and carefully down the hall, peeking inside of each room. I looked on the ground and saw dried blood, leading the way. I stopped the guy beside me and pointed to it, my eyes scanning where it led. We followed the trail, when it led to a door. I was about to peak through it, anxious to see what was behind it.

Suddenly, I heard a girl scream.

We ran back down the hallway, following the sound of voices. We took a left turn somewhere and led through a corridor, when we landed in a cafeteria. Our South Team surrounded 3 teenagers, one girl and 2 guys. They couldn't have looked older than 17.

"Set the ouija board on the ground, and put your hands up."

The boy on the right gently set the board on the ground, and stood back up with his hands in the air.

"What are you doing here?" Mason asked, gun pointed at all three of them. I knew he wouldn't shoot them; it was just a prop to look intimidating.

"We wanted to see if the rumors were true," the girl spoke, panic laced in her voice. She looked over at the other guys, but they were too scared to look anywhere but the guns pointed at them.

"Yeah, t-the rumors of the prisons being haunted. That's why they're abandoned, right?" The boy on the left said.

"You do realize you're trespassing on private property. Not just private, but government property. Serious charges could be filed against you." I spoke, my tone even as I eyed every one of the three teens. The girl's face turned white, and both the boys showed fright in their eyes.

"W-wha-what? I- I can't. I can't go to jail. We graduate this upcoming year." The boy stuttered, making the other 2 kids panic. I knew the look in the girl's eyes- I've seen in way too many times in my Natalie. Her chest started to rise and fall in a vehement manner.
