The day was cool the world was content on its routine having been told wants new, old, or even what the poor have in mind. On the couch a man in his early thirties had been watching the news for an hour. He was known as Albert Brady, a American man with charm, wealth, and a military armory. Jeffrey had a upper hand in almost everything he did or wanted to do. Always prepared for anything that came to him but today he would not be.

As the TV went white, sirens went off, the birds calls turned into panics, then the ground shook. Many people screamed their cars crashed into each other from the movement. Fires stared burning many alive. Men, women, and children cried out for help. None came. It wasn't only the US, the whole world felt the quake from the shores of London to the island of Japan.

All radios silent the world was in chaos. The TV began to hum as the image began to show a news cast in a basement. All watched in silence as the camera moved to a door. Inside was walls of human bones the camera man cursed but continue on as the other side of that door opened, the camera man fell down into a black hole. Everyone was on edge as the camera cut off only for a split second when they suddenly jumped as the man behind the camera began to scream in pain. He was pleading, crying for someone to help. No one could.

Something grabbed the camera as it hovered over the man as a black figure ripped into his body blood, guts, and his life spill out. The world was in fear, as the camera turned to the figure but its form was not man nor beast. It was the devil. It's eyes a yellow shimmer, teeth sharp, the face of a dog yet it was hairless. Body of a snake, but it had legs of a goat. It looked at the camera giving them a good look at his teeth then spoke echoing in different tongues.

"Mankind is in my control now. Your god left you. I am the devil and all of man kind will pay for what they have done to my brothers and sisters. For eons you were filled with lies that we Angles went to war because of your bible but in truth you humans killed many of us. We trusted you all. Yet look at how it turned out. You kill anything you feel like. That ends today."

It turned then laughed as a door rose up from the ground "Times come to send you all to hell" it turned back to the camera "This will be a game. If none reach to the twelfth stage all of you humans will suffer staying in hell"

Most people panicked. But that didn't stop him from continuing "If one of your kind survive and win we will leave the rest to live on earth again"

Everyone panicked more as the screen went black.

Jeffrey Johns took in everything that these people now seen. Not only did it mean the lives of millions were in danger the world itself could be under control of hell.

Not long after the broadcast there were a few people that decided on trying to make it through the twelve stages. But none had came back in return little had changed. Except, now for the demons finally came to bring out some of it's own devouring anyone on the streets after dusk. Military had tried tactic for anything this dangerous but fail in only a week of the demon attacks. People were now expected to survive by themselves. It was a sad truth but nother the less they needed new people going into that hell the demon said to gain back their freedom. Those that survived had sees began to see food, water, shelters decrease in months. In little than a year children were a rare sight as was medicine, vaccines. If the demons didn't eat you then a cold would do just the job. A sad reality had settled down on man.

The day was cold it enhanced as the rain pored down. The city was Las Angeles with its once beautiful builds had demolished including the freeways. Only one third of the population had lived this long and were slowly losing hope.

A man stood under the reckon freeway he wore a rain coat, his eyes covered by goggles, and bandanna over his nose and mouth. He was a observer for a group of survivors the only job were he was in little danger. He enjoyed the quiet, no movement was a good thing since having a lion roam around would only mean more were coming luckily none were insight.

The man was relaxed until static interrupted the silence as a voice came through the walkie.

"This is point three to point five how is it out there?" the man calmed down but his voice was shaky as he replied "Yeah all clear not a single demon or animals in the area"

"Good we don't want anything coming through until this afternoon. We have a search team find a few survivors they'll be at your two o'clock point five"

"Thank you sir and rest a sure I'll have them save" he smiled then let go of the com as he scanned the area one more time. When he saw something move. Watching carefully he looked again. His heart dropped as he was meet with hell hounds. A fiery dog with a pack of three. The man knew he wouldn't make it but he called it in before they attacked them "Hell hounds at point five..."

...

When that inner com came in everyone started to prepare for the worse. As the others were going to fight, Captain Jacob Compton had put his pistol in the holster which was attached to his left arm. As he did that his second in command had put down a map.

"We need those civilians in the safe zone until we got this controlled" the captain ordered then looked over to another man as he geared up. The older man sighed then looked over the map "What of those survivors?"

"Search team hasn't checked in sir" the young man had reported. In a way the captain gave him a little hope as he responded "We let our greatest guys on this mission they better be fine"

This was the last chance the world might have on those survivors when they had one of those men who went through a few of the stages. The radios went off suddenly as the men kept saying a strange creature was with them. The men went on and on about it. What was it that made them on edge but of course the caption began to feel it too. As if a dark shadow hovered over him.

"Sir, we made contact with the search team" everyone cheered but the caption put his hand up. Silence came back then he motion the man "Two down sir but the special guest is injured"

The caption sighed it didn't take him long to tell his men "We need to get everyone to the fifth safe nest while i and two conducts will go grab the men out there" those in the room glaced at each other with the same question. The caption chuckled "Listen up no matter what happens out there i know you will survive. If we can get this guest then we have a chance to end this hiding to rebuild these lands again"

The men nodded with grief over their heads. The caption grabbed a knife heading to the door "Remember men keep the peace and protect until the last one stands" and with that the caption went out leaving the men to think.

...

"We can't hold them for long" the military man said to his fellow men as he kept firing at the demon dogs. One of the civilian men that still lived he began to pray as did a woman who held on to another man. But there was one civilian that the military men didn't notice until now was a small boy in a dark blue shirt and black pants. The child didn't seem to fear the demons as they slowly moved in but the boy stood his ground. In a shocking result he went closer to those demons as black shadows followed him. Everyone stopped curious as they gazed at the boy. He raised his hand making a shadow hand appear, the boy lift his other hand as another hand appeared. The demon dogs growled as the small child moved his hands then did a smashing motion. The shadow hands did the same only to the demon dogs. The sound of bone crushing was the only good thing.

The woman that held on started to cry out saying the boy was the savor. As the men watched the child kill the beast one man spoke up.

"What are you?"

The boy smiled "A demon" and it was true his eyes changed to a deep red.

The military men stepped back.
