Ash walked swiftly down the Cerulean sidewalk, Pikachu on his shoulder and his 'posse' close behind him. People snapping pictures as he walked, girls gasping and squeeling, guys whispering and admiring. The raven haired boy loved the attention, winking at the girls, and waving towards the guys or giving them a fist bump. People we're running up to get pictures. There seemed to be only one person that wasn't swooning over the Pokechampion.

The redhead sat at the table outside a small café sipping her tea and reading a book. She was oblivious to her surroundings, or at least that's what it seemed like. Normally she would've jumped up at the sound of his name, but she remained still throughout the commotion.

His eyes sweeped the area, landing on her. She looked so familiar, but he wasn't sure who it was.

She looked up, and her eyes met his, she couldn't help but stare, there's her best friend, but he's all grown up, no longer that immature eleven year old. Besides that, he's famous now. "He probably doesn't even recognize me." She thought to herself.

"Ash, let us show you around, pleasee?!!?" A group of girls begged him.

"Okay, sure."

They walked passed the redhead and he looked at her again, he knew he knew her, but he wasn't quite sure. The only thing he was sure of was that she didn't leave his mind once.

Later that day, Misty slammed the apartment's door shut. Her room mate Dawn peeked her head out from the kitchen. "what happened Mist?" She asked sitting on the couch patting the seat next to her.

Misty slumped down, "Ash is back," She started. "But he doesn't recognize me, or he does, and he's just ignoring me. I don't know." She shook her head sighing.

"Awe, Misty, I'm sorry, I know how much he meant to you." Dawn rubbed her back sympathetically.

"I was his best friend, he was the one that stopped texting back, he was the one that stopped contact, and now I'm just invisible." Tears rolled down her cheeks.

Dawn tried her tear, "I know food doesn't solve everything, but you could use a brownie, or two, I just made some, c'mon." She pulled her by the arm and dragged her to the kitchen.

"So, your 21st birthday was last month, and we still having done anything," Dawn started. "Soo let's go to a club!!"

Misty groaned, clubbing wasn't her. "I don't know Dawn, you know I don't go to clubs.

"Tonight I think you do. It'll be good for, so go, get dressed up. Don't look like a tomboy for once in your life." She smirked.

Misty looked at her then got up, "Know I hate you for this."

"No you don't!" Dawn yelled after her.

Misty stepped out from her room an hour later. She was wearing a black Hana cutout mini dress. With black platform stilletoes. Her hair was curled, her make up was simple, with a black smokey eye, and light pink lipstick.

"Damnnn." Dawn joked when she walked out. "So it is possible for you to not look like a tomboy, who knew?"

"Haha, very funny. Are you ready to go?"
"Yes, I am. Let's go." Dawn cluthed her tiny purse and proceeded to the door. "This is gonna be so much fun, you'll see Misty!!" She squeeled.

They arrived at the hottest club in all of Cerulean and headed straight towards their friends Gary and Leaf.

Ash had just arrived at the club also, but did not see his old friends. He had taken a seat at the bar about four seats from them.

"Look who finally left the apparent and is acting like an actual 21 year old." Gary joked.

"You look hot, who knew there was girl under all that tough exterior?" Leaf said and they all laughed.

Shortly after, Brock who was the owner of the club, walked over to them. "Is that Misty I see?"

"Sure is," she smiled.

Ash heard Brock say Misty's name from down the bar, and he looked up, the redhead from earlier? Misty, there's no way. Her eyes were too dull. Misty's had always sparkled and she never seemed to stop laughing. Then it hit him. That IS Misty. Everything froze, it seemed to be just him and her. She was so matured now, her body had filled out nicely and she just looked so beautiful. No, beautiful wasn't the right word. Stunning, or breathtaking was. Ash stood up and proceeded to go talk to her, but before he made it over, some of his fans had pulled him to the side to dance. He hated that part of being famous. Sure the girls were cute and the attention was nice, but he often wanted personal moments.

Misty had a few drinks and danced with a couple cute guys and was feeling great. She was trying to walk back over to Dawn when she bumped into the raven haired boy. "Ash," she murmured.

"Hey Mist." He smiled at her. "I've missed you." He embraced her in a hug.

"I've missed you too." Misty felt everything slip away as he held her, it had been so long she they'd hugged, she had forgotten what he smelled like.

"You wanna ditch this place a go to my hotel room and catch up?" He proposed.

"Uh, sure but I'll have to tell Dawn."

She informed Dawn and they left the club. Heading for his hotel. Two best friends reunited again.
