Chapter three - a problem
I blinked into existence and saw Michel leaning over me, "we have a problem." Sighing I got up and climbed onto the roof, "f*ck" I muttered, everywhere I looked there was Zombies, I needed to protect that tree if the Fae was going to live. I counted the amount of arrows I had and the amount of bolts Bryan had, after that I counted the zombies, we had 35 arrows and bolts in total, I had 20 and he had 15. There were 50 odd Zombies once again I swore, I climbed back down and called a briefing, I gave the three vampires an axe, a shovel and ordered Michel to give one of them his knife. In the dirt I quickly sketched out a plan keep in mind that the door is facing the apple tree, Michel you in dragon form go to the wall to the left of the door, you," I said pointing to one of the vampires "guard the back wall, you," I said pointing to another one, "guard the right side, and you" I said pointing to the last one, "guard the front door, Bryan and I will be on the roof, shoot to kill" I said to Bryan, "aim for the head. The rest of you, decapitate them, if that doesn't work, stab them in the head, Michel, burn them, I've heard they aren't good with fire, and don't hit the stronghold." They nodded grimly.
Michel's POV
When I walked outside I once again saw the Zombies that came at us from all sides, I trusted in Sofya, and prayed that her plan worked, the ground shook, and I turned into my dragon form for a better view. Hearing a soft gasp behind me I turned to see Sof taking in my dragon self, I turned my head back to the zombies, and popped open my wings, and hovered up for a bit and let out a dragon gasp. During our debriefing more zombies had come and there was over 100 zombies swamping in, I sighed, and belched out a bit of fire.
Sofya's POV
When Michel changed into his dragon form I couldn't help but gasp, his main colour was gold, with the bottom tips a bright red, like a fire, when he spread his wings, I saw even more gold and red, and then I looked to where he was looking, I gulped. Bryan stumbled up the ladder leading to the roof, impatient, I yanked him up and pointed to the horizon, he gulped also, after chucking down an apple infused with blood to each of the vampires I munched on one myself. Once I had finished I faced my side tossed up the core and shot it at a Zombie, symbolizing the beginning of a losing battle, Michel let out a blood-thirsty roar, torching ten Zombies.
A peculiar thing happened with the Zombies, when they dropped and dragged themselves across the ground they seemed to move slightly faster, and the grass started to move as if, no, as if the Zombies had power over the earth. I think it was then that I realised we were truly f*cked. Bryan and I glanced at each other, he only had five of his bolts left, and had been slowly unfurling his silvery wings that had an underlie of blue, preparing to go down with his scythe.
It was then when things started to go disastrously wrong, the vampire guarding the door had abandoned his post, and rushed out to battle with his shovel, the moron, he died shortly after being bitten on the jugular. I sighed and dispatched the last of my arrows, after noting Bryan had already left, I again sighed, I need to do something else don't I? I jumped down lightly and winced when I rolled my ankle, having some blood I unsheathed my sword, told the vamp with the axe to guard the door, the coward looked happy to do so, but beneath that coward front was a hint of courageousness. I strode into battle, Michel had reverted back to human form and was wielding his double bladed sword beautifully. I myself started hacking away at the Zombies, but the last bout of blood had run out, so my strength started to wane, my eyes flashed with an idea, and I raced back to the Fae, who was about to be snacked on, I snarled at the vampire and told the fae to go on the roof, with me, "would you be willing to give me a syringe or two of your blood?" I asked cautiously. She nodded, carefully and cringing I removed two syringe full's of her blood and injected it into another apple, the rush, wow, I flew down to the battle and slaughtered twenty of the remaining 40, after that 20 the crash occurred, and I was forced onto one knee as the biggest headache of my existence, OWWWWW it was the mother of all hangovers. The knife wielding vampire went down too in a blaze of stupidity, I sensed rather than felt Michel and Bryan surround and protect me, as I battled with the fae hangover.
The Zombies got smart, well smart-ish and started controlling the earth, just when I thought our lives were over, with all of our strength waning, two wolves attacked the last five. Well one was a wolf the other represented a dog with spines, who I would later recognise as Brie, they changed into human form, the werewolf put a bit of his blood onto the tip of Brie's sword before she stabbed the last Zombies. I think that was when I passed out.
Wow, that was short, what do you think of the battle, and what about Michel's dragon form huh?? you know the drill, comment, vote.
