[Okay, this is my first book on here, so dont judge. I WILL have mistakes, so dont be mean please. This book is rated PG-13 so, yea. Enjoy!]

I hear my morning alarm go off and groan. I slam my hand down on the disable button and push the covers off my body and feel the cold air snake its way through my body and shiver. I rub my arms up and down with my hands in attempt to warm them. I make my way to my decaying wood drawer and pull out my usual brown sweater and black pants.

I sigh at the sight of my disgusting apparel and sit down at the edge of my bed to put on my grey flats. They are ripped at the sides and when I got them, they were white.

I make my way to the kitchen and sit down at the table putting my head in my hands, rubbing my temples. 'Will this ever get better?' I think to myself. I decide on no answer and drag myself to the pantry for some breakfast for the King and Queen.

I pull out the oats and pot and start to cook them.

This is not a life I chose. I was originally a princess. A princess of Yorkshire. I remember when it all happened. Every little detail...

I was 14 years old reading Romeo and Juliet in the castle library and I was wearing a purple silk dress, matching my parents, the King and Queen, for the 117th anniversary of the Yorkshire castle. I was on the last page when I heard screaming coming from the other side of the door. I ran out and saw people running and I heard gunshots. I tried asking people what was going on but they were to busy running for their lives. I started to panic until I felt a pair of strong hands grab me by the waist and run me out of the house.

I felt safer when I figured out that Niall, my guard, had saved me. He was seventeen but I think he liked me. I sure did like him. But maybe it was just a small crush. We stopped at the carriage that my parents were in and he set my down.

"Elizabeth, please, wait for me. I know in another lifetime we will meet, because our love is destiny." Niall said. He then kissed my cheek and ran to fight the people who had just destroyed our castle, my one and only home.

As we were carried away, my mind was going crazy with questions like, 'Does he really love me?' 'Where will I live?' and 'What will happen to us?' My parents looked so scared and my mothers head was furrowed in my fathers coat. I decided to switch over to their side of the carriage for comfort and ended up falling asleep.

I woke up to the bright daylight and green trees. We had made it to a forest. I decided to speak up and asked,

"What castle was that?" my parents turned around and looked at me with confusion. "The one that just destroyed our home." I said with a little attitude.

"Blyth." my father replied.

"Oh." I said looking down. The moment of silence was interupted by a pair of Blyth soldiers, guns ready. Then 2 more came, then another pair.

"Get in the carriage. Now!" my father ordered. We all stumbled into the carriage and the horses took off. The men ran after us and managed to fire only few bullets but our horses were too fast. But those few had managed to kill my parents.

I cried and cried for days. After my parents died, the horses stopped running. I eventually took the last remaining horse of the three and rode back to Yorkshire, not caring what would happen to me. I shouldve went the other way! The other horses had gotten dehydrated. I was happy, though, because this had always been my favorite horse. I got him for my 10th birthday and his name was Spark due to the lightning bolt on his right thigh. The rest of him was black, and he was then 4 years old.

When we got to Yorkshire, the queen of Blyth took me to her castle and told what had just happened and what was going to happen to me.

"You're going to be living with me Hon. You will no longer be a princess, but a maid. I know that is not very, fun, but it was either you die, or become the head maid of Blyth." she said, care and desperation both in her eyes.

"But, why did you guys do this to my castle?" I asked, on the verge of tears. She looked down at the ground and said,

"My husband, the King of Blyth, wanted more kingdom, so he decided to break down this castle and our this one to make a huge castle spreading from Blyth to Yorkshire. I am very sorry about your parents. I had NOTHING to do with this. Come here." she said arms wide. At that point, I didn't care who it was, I just wanted comfort.

Within 3 months, the castle was done, and everyone could move in. I did get one of the best rooms, being the Princess of Yorkshire, but I had to tell myself over and over, there is no more Kingdom of Yorkshire.

But after three years of living here, things started to get worse. People forgot about me being a princess and treated me like a slave. But, when I am 18, which is next year, I get to leave. And I will search for my one and true love, Niall.
