To rule a kingdom-(Sonia X Reader)

Sonia Nevermind. The princess of the Novocelic Kingdom. Your parents had set eyes on her and had planed something no one had thought of in years. An arranged marriage. You were none to thrilled about this sudden development. You were nervous. This princess was of an entirely new genre. She wasn't going to be like any other princess or prince you had ever met. You pondered in your room for a while, thinking over the effects and outcomes of marriage to this girl. Besides partially ruling over another part of the kingdom, you were next in line for your parents throne due to not having any siblings or distant cousins, she might be the most horrible person in the world. Your head was overrun with these paranoid thoughts. You nearly fell off your bed as you heard your mother's taps on your bedroom door. "(Y/N) let me in. We need to discuss this", her soft voice swelled through the door. You got up and opened the door. Your mother in her floorlength deep blue dress waltzed into the room, sitting on your bed. "Listen. I know this is hard but it's in the best interest of our land and our people", She said twiddling her thumbs, "Hopefully you'll learn to like her. Your father and I have set up a time and a date. You're meeting her in three days. That's final (Y/N)." You groaned slamming your face into the pillow of your bed.  The hours passed slowly. However your mind was taken off of the princess. For the moment you were too busy with your own duties. Caring to the village children at the schoolhouse and signing important documents. The day flew by your mind finally at ease. As you lay in bed that night you whispered to yourself that it would all be over soon and the dread that filled you would dissapear. It would be ok, you reassured yourself the next morning. The remaining days flew by  and the time had finally come. You were dressed to your best as you walked into the courtyard. Your eyes widened at the vision in front of you. There she was, Sonia Nevermind. Her long golden hair cascading down her back. She sat there, as a lady should, in her flowing white everyday gown. She gave you a lighthearted smile as you sat down next to her. "Good day my lady. We welcome you our kingdom. I am prince/princess (Y/N) of the (YKN) Kingdom. We of the royal family do hope you enjoy your time here." You finished your speech and sat back down in the chair. "That was a very nice speech", Sonia commented. You smiled and the festivities began. Throughout the festivities you got to learn more about Sonia as a person. She was a very kindhearted and sweet woman with an open mind. You liked her more than you though you would. You took her out several times after that day growing closer as a new couple. She was open to your kingdoms customs and your likes and such. The wedding plans were ready and the day drew closer. You watched intently as Sonia took her time, browsing and fawning over different sets of jewelry. Over dresses and veils and suits. You were nervous. Just as nervous as the day you met her. Finally the day of the wedding came. You stood at the front of the altar listening and swaying slightly as the music swelled up from the band. You looked out at your parents and closest friends and on the other side, at Sonia's family and her friends. The curtains parted as your fiancé walked out in a beautiful pearl laced white wedding dress. The small Novacelic girls giggling happily, held Sonia's veil back from hitting the ground. She looked absolutely stunning. You couldn't believe that just a few weeks ago you had dreaded meeting this lovely woman who had captured your heart. You two stood in front of the altar listening as the priest gave his wedding speech. "And do you (Y/N) take Sonia Nevermind to be your lawfully wedded wife?" You took a deep breath and looked straight into Sonia's loving blue eyes. "I do!" You leaned to her and kissed her.  The kingdoms had finally been reunited. You loved Sonia Nevermind and that would never fade. You would rule these kingdoms side by side. As long as you both shall live.
