Staring out the window,
As the raindrops keep hitting the glass below.
My heart wanders back to the day,
The smiles, the kindness, the care.
The raindrops washing away,
The hurt, the pain back at the bay.
As I sense my heart-race,
I could think of a million reasons for you to stay.
Now that I'm just left with the memories,
The beautiful history we shared.
My heart still tugs at the thought of us both,
Sharing a cup of of hot chocolate in our trench coats,
As we glance towards the sky, bidding the world around us a goodbye,
We'd dance away towards the twilight.
