The sound of my alarm screams in my ear.
"Wake up, Honey!" My mum yells from the kitchen.
I groan and press the button to stop the sound of Satan. I roll over and feel myself plummet to the ground. My arse hits the floor and I have to stop myself from cursing. I gather myself and stand up. I go across the hall into the only bathroom. I knock on the door.
"Jason!" I yell, "When will you be done!?"
"In a minute Hardy!"
The door swings open and I almost fall in. My brother walks out and dramatically bows to me.
"Your highness," he says while facing the ground. I roll my eyes and huff past him. I hear him laugh as I close the door.
"We'll be leaving in 15, little sis!" He says through the door.
I strip and take a quick shower. Once I get out I stare at the girl facing me in the mirror. I sigh and blow dry my hair and brush it. I leave the bathroom covered in my towel and walk to my room. I pull on my black skinny jeans and a white t-shirt under my white jumper. I slip on my black and white converse and tuck my key necklace under my shirt. As soon as I step out of my room I see a flash of blue and feel something cling to my legs.
"JASSY!" My seven year-old bother yells.
I giggle, "Morning Mickey," I say as I bend down and pick him up. I carry him on my hip as I walk to the kitchen.
"Morning sweetie, you look nice," my mother says when I walk in.
"Morning princess," my dad says as he walks past and kisses me on the forehead. I roll my eyes at his nickname for me. He's been using it since I was born yet I still smile and sit at the bench. Jason walks in and sits next to me.
"Record timing, Hardy," he says as I scoop my hair up and tie a hairtie around it. He's called me 'Hardy' ever since I accidentally sent him a message two years ago. I was supposed to write 'Love Jassy', but since technology is against me, my phone autocorrected it to 'Hardy'. My brother, of course, thought it was hilarious and has never gone a day without reminding me of my mistake.
Five minutes later we are leaving the door followed by the crying of my little brother.
"I'll be back at three, Mickey," I tell him as I kiss his cheek and continue down the steps to Jason's car. We drive to school singing the lyrics to Rolling In The Deep by Adele.
"WE COULD'VE HAD IT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!" Could probably be heard from China but we don't care.
