You stood in front of the mirror, posing and checking if your outfit looked perfect. You had styled your hair lightly, taken a shower, put on a fragrance.

  You looked at the clock, it said it was 5:37 pm, and the party started at 4:00 pm. You picked up your phone and began to text Midori.
You: the party starts in half an hour are you ready
Midori: Yes, I'm on my way right now.
You laughed, it was a fun quirk about Midori that he always texted with perfect grammar. You watched through the window to see him for a few minutes until you saw a tall figure in the distance with green hair.

  YOU GO OUTSIDE and wait for Midori at the front of the complex. It only took him a couple minutes to arrive....

YOU WAIT IN YOUR ROOM for Midori in your room, bored, you watched him walk the entire way until he was at the door...

You fully inspected his outfit, he wasn't in his standard striped shirt and cardigan at least, but you knew he wasn't in his best outfit.
You: "Did you try?"
Midori: "It was the best I had." You shrugged.
You: "It suits you, you look nice." You smiled nudged him with your elbow.
Midori: "You look pretty too."  

you: thank u

The both of you sit down at your table and talk for a few minutes about random topics, mostly work, memories and expectations for how the party will go.
Midori: "Hey (Y/n)."
You: "What is it?"
Midori: "Try to not leave me alone during this, I like being around you." You thought you heard him say something else, but you passed it off.

you: sure i will try

  You looked at the clock again and is was 3:51 pm. You stood from your seat and grabbed your sketchbook and purse.
You: "We should go, Midori. It wouldn't hurt to be early." He nodded in response and followed you closely despite it being a short walk to the lobby. You opened the door and was surprised to see there were already a few people there. Some people you didn't recognize, but the people you knew were Katashi, Gouro and Yuuka. Yuuka seemed to be talking to Katashi and a short red haired boy, Gouro was supplying drinks to a beautiful tan woman with ombre hair and an olive-green haired boy.

  You look up to Midori and see him searching through the small group of people, as if he was trying to identify what they would be like just by their appearance.

Yuuka: "(Y/N)!! You're here! You look great!" Yuuka yelled and rushed to you, giving you a great big tackle of a hug, making you stagger back.
You: "Ha ha, I decided to be early since I was already in my apartment." She let go and you brushed you outfit lightly. "So, this is Midori Hayashi, he's a good friend of mine from Okinawa." You signalled to him and he bowed respectfully.
Yuuka: "It's nice to meet you Midori, my name's Yuuka. So (Y/n), there's a really good friend of mine that I'd like you to meet, how about it?"

you:sure

  Yuuka took your hand and lead you to the two she was with.

Yuuka: "You already know Katashi. So, this is my good friend Kou Yamamoto!" Now being closer to him, you finally got a better look at him. He was a lot shorter than most of the guys here, he was around your height. He had bright cherry red hair and green eyes. He had a stern scowl on his face, and a slight blush grew on his face as Yuuka linked arms with him.
Kou: "I told you to not do that, moron!" He brushed her off and shook his head slightly.
Kou: "Yeah, so my name's Kou... don't think we're all buddy-buddy so fast ok?" He crossed his arms.

you: ...sorry 

  You watched Kou trying to bicker with Yuuka, as she easily knocked down each of his lashes with hyper optimism.
