A poem for a friend

This poem is dedicated to my best friends in Australia, Chels, Bec, Chloe & Jaime. I hope you like it guys, because every word is true!

Friends are like lemonade,

it takes years to find the perfect glass,

but don't be afraid,

your time will come to pass.

Those friends are always to sweet or sour,

bugging you at every hour,

and at that moment you sigh,

and decide to say goodbye.

This happened to me for years on end,

Until I met two real friends,

Chelsea and Rebekah were their names,

And they were the complete opposite of lame!

They stuck by my side in the hard times and the good,

The first time I had friends that actually would,

We are like a family today,

And I don't know what I'll do when we soon go our separate ways.

A year spent afar from my friends,

Made me appreciate them, that year I was merely ten.

I came home, greeted by hugs,

And two other faces who, well I thought they were slugs...

But it seemed, in the year that I was gone,

These two, Chloe and Jaime, actually were pretty fun.

I take back my hate and horrible words you two,

I am now, but I never really thought I could be friends with you.

I come near the end of this poem,

Like I'm coming to the end of Chelsea, Rebekah, Jaime and Chloe,

And soon, we'll be going our ways, parting forever,

But we'll always be together,

And in my mind, we won't really part, because there's a spot reserved for you in the center of my heart.

I love all you guys and miss you already. Chloe, I'd take you out of the poem because you'd probably prefer that after past experiences, but your name rhymes with stuff, so I'm sorry I have to leave it in there.
