O N  S E T

Harper found herself in her trailer, shaking and conflicted. She didn't remember how she managed to get here.

When she had lost her character in that scene, when she had dropped both Athena and her guard for Tom, it felt so... raw. She felt vulnerable and scared, but it also felt so incredibly right to be close with him again.

She was torn from her inner turmoil when the door to her trailer swung open, revealing a worried-looking Emma and, behind her, seeming even more terrified, was Tom.

"Oh my god, Harper. There you are! We've been looking everywhere. Everyone is so worried about you. You can't just run off like that, Harp." Emma chastised in her own motherly way, before pulling the smaller girl into a tight hug.

Harper's eyes, though, hadn't left Tom since he walked into the trailer. She pulled back from the embrace, looked Emma in the eyes, and hoped her eyes conveyed how much she was pleading for the redhead to get rid of him.

Luckily, Emma got the message, and she sent Tom a look that said exactly what Harper wanted.

"I'll, uh, be in my trailer if you need me, Harper. So... Um, yeah." He stammered, and then, he was gone.

As soon as the door slammed closed, Harper burst into tears, and Emma was there to hold her, rub her back, and whisper that everything would be okay.

++this chapter is far shorter than the last, but i think it sufficiently shows how much harper is hurting. just a warning, the getting-back-together will be quick & I don't really like how i wrote it, but there's nothing i can do about it now ):)
