'Beers and pizza my place?' Deeks asked as we walked out of ops after finishing up a case.
'I'm thinking about having a bath, need to destress' I visibly relaxed when the words left my mouth, obviously I felt sly on Deeks but he'll just have to live with it.
'I could always join you?!' Deeks added with his famous cheeky grin.
I punched him in his stomach for his last remark.
'Ouch what was that for?' Deeks put on his best fake hurt face like when a 2year old isn't allowed a toy. I just rolled my eyes and headed to my car ' in your dreams' I shouted to him. 'All the time fern, all the time' he said cheekily, but I couldn't tell if he was kidding or not..
We've been able to knock down a few of the others walls, but just as partners...
I remember the day we were assigned together I thought I was going to hate it, but Deeks was different to Dom, Deeks always is quick thinking and I was always very comfortable in his presence, but Dom was different, Dom was not as well trained, lacking in experience, I still blame myself for his death though, we may not have been that close but that was my fault I didn't want him to be able to knock down my walls... Sam and Callen had only been able to knock down very little with my experience working with them, it took them well of a year, were a Deeks it was a matter of months, he was just... Different....
Deeks pov
Recently special agent Kensi Blye had been on my mind a lot, I mean we're partners that's normal right? Yep, totally normal I thought... I didn't know how to feel, Kensi was my only partner since 'last time'...
Oh god no..
I couldn't like Kensi, G and Sam would kill me if they found out!

I grabbed my keys picked up my jacket and left my home. It was a 30 min drive to Deeks place, I was there in 15...
Deeks PoV
A faint knocking came at my door,
'Hey Kens you okay?' I asked as my partner came through my front door.
'Yeah I just couldn't sleep' she replied, I could see it in her eyes, 'another nightmare?' I asked her, she vaguely told me about her nightmares a few weeks ago, never would have thought badass Blye had nightmares, but there's more to some people that meets the eye. Kensi was one of them...
'Ye it was a bad one to' Kensi told me as the tears started to flow down her cheeks. 'Come here fern' I said as I pulled her in to a warm hug.
A hour later
'Any other time you would done that I would have punched you, you know that right?' Kensi said to me as we were now sat on the couch watching 'Americas next top model'. Her favourite show, I had pretty much all series recorded on tv just for emergencies..
'I know Kens, I know' I said as I chuckled to myself. As we settled down on the couch for the night.
'Best trying to get some sleep kensalina, we have work tomorrow' I said to Kensi, I just got a grunt in response.
