A Game

                         ¤L's POV¤

Today was the day that I was going to bring in the suspect. Strongly enough, he dissapeared this morning around six pm. At the moment I was scanning over Eclipse's files. I felt like someone was staring at me so I turned around. In the shadows a pair of glowing electric blue eyes stared into my silver eyes. "Finally we meet, Lawliet!" A demonic voice whispered into my ear.

"Are you a shinigami?" I questioned the black figure. It stepped out of the shadows and revealed itself. Spikes were on it's head and shoulders. Long claws were on it's fingers. The thing just chuckled.

"Oh you amuse me! No, I'm not a weak little shinigami! I'm simply a shadow creature. The only one in existence, actually." Wait, how did it say that without a mouth?!?! "Oh, and you won't be able to track down Eclipse without help. It's all a game. A famous detective versus an aggressive sociopath! But, here's a tip to finding him. He walks in the shadows, you in the light. In order to find him you must search the darkness." The shadow suggested before waving, goodbye. "Farewell, for now." Then it dissapeared in a puff of black smoke.

I was considering the clue. Well, if I were to walk in the shadows then I'd be where it's to obvious to find me. His house! The second I came up with that I called over the police force.

"So we're going to his house? Can I be the one to go inside!" Matsuda cheered. I nodded, annoyed with his lack of seriousness.

"Go ahead. Hurry up though." Watari and I stated at the same time. My eyes returned to the monitor systems, waiting to see the scenes unfold.

                ¤Eclipse's POV¤

  I swear my true form has a mind of its own, sometimes! It basically just ratted me out! My mental battle was interrupted by a knock on my front door. The police force were here! Panicking, I darted out my back door. Just a few seconds later investigators were hot on my tail.

My face met damp soil as a male tacklwewwwewe ewed me to the earth. Instinctively, I slid out from under him and tried to escape in the trees. But NOOOOOOO, another guy shoved my face into the bark of a dark oak tree. I felt the cold squeeze of handcuffs being put on my wrists. This caused my mind to go into 'caged animal mode.'

I twisted around and kicked 'Mr.Yagami' square in the face. He let out a groan of pain. My other side atleast let me see his name. I was about to smash his chest in with my foot but a sharp pain exploded in my neck. My hand pulled a dart from it before I became woozy and felt to the ground. My vision went along with my conscienceness. Even so, I heard the muffled voices of the humans around me.

Slowly my body woke up and energy flooded into it. I would move but, I WAS SO COMFY!!! I opened my left eye to observe my surroundings. I was on a fluffy black futon, grey blankets wrapped around me, and my face buried in a good smelling flat grey pillow. To my left was the black haired kid from school and on my right...a wall. Now that I noticed him, he was doing something on the computer ... AND I WAS CHAINED TO HIM!!!

Panic mode set in and I spazed out and darted to a door. But, the chain jerked me back and I fell on my back. "Well, fuck." I huffed before walking over and lying back down on my futon. For some reason I was tired. I'M NEVER TIRED, I'M AN INSOMNIAC! But, before I knew it is was back in the magical dreamland of puppies and anime.
