New Year, New Me?

I came out as a lesbian a week before new year's eve, my family thinks in gonna change.  They think the whole "new year new me" will make me straight again, tf.
  Back to school! Oh my least favorite place to go.
  "Max if I yell your name one more time, no phone for a week!" I sat up, groaning. "Someone's panties are in a twist" I mumbled, I swung my feet off the bed, time to get dressed. I walked over to my closet picking out my black crop top and ripped skinny jeans with lace in the holes. "Hopefully this doesn't piss them off" my parents are so strict, I thought while changing my gauges , I have four piercings, nose, tongue, ears, and belly button, they only know of three.  I changed my belly button to my marijuana leaf one, I'm obsessed with that one. I slipped my crop top over my head and looked in the mirror, "I hate hip bones" I slipped my jeans on then put my hair up, after applying some make up I grabbed my things and walked out before they could say anything.  I met Hakeem at the bus stop, Hakeem Lyon is my best friend! We met in seventh grade, and here we are, juniors in high school . "Aye, listen, you really needa get you a girl, Ight" I rolled my eyes and shrugged "I'm being serious Max, you're a lot happier in a relationship, but now your turning emo on me, I can't have that" I laughed a little "alright, hopefully someone falls in love with me today?" He laughed a little " hold up, see they girl walking this way, imma get her number"  he winked and yelled "ay yo ma!" He walked over to her, shortly after he walked back "took you three minutes to get rejected" he stuck his tongue out "why don't you go over there? She is a lesbian after all"
  And that's how it all started.
