First Impressions Are Really Important

Rapunzel was really freaked out. She had just changed into her night gown and ready to go to bed, when she heard the door open. She thought it might be mother Gothel, but when a male voice was the one that spoke, she got worried.

It was the white haired boy she had seen moments ago. She knew she was perfectly sane. Or was this another trick from her mind?

She wondered how could he had entered without being caught by her mother, how did he found the tower in first place?

Rapunzel wasn't the only one who was freaked out. So was Jack, a little bit less than her certainly, but he was.

"Didn't you hear me?" Rapunzel asked again climbing on her bed to get as far as she could from him "what are you doing here!" This time it didn't sound like a question "Who are you!"

Jack cleared his throat. Careful not to scared her again he wide opened the door and silently close it behind him, he didn't want the lady to hear them. He could be mute to her but Rapunzel wasn't. How was she able to see him anyway? She obviously believed in him. He guessed it from the first time he saw her, wonder-filled , doe-like eyes. Emerald green eyes that remind him a lot to her... Could she...

Jack shook that idea from his head but he didn't remove all possibilities from this Rapunzel being the right one.

"Are you deaf?" The blond asked again

"Amm... Sorry" he apologized "what was that again?"

The girl was even more scare now and her face showed it but she grabbed strength out of somewhere and, after biting her lip, she asked again

"I said, What are you doing here?"

"Okay. First, could you please do not shout?" he begged and Rapunzel shut her mouth. he sighed in relief. "Thank you! Second, I'm not going to harm you. If that's what you fear. I just..." He saw Rapunzel's shocked face and realized he couldn't tell her the truth right then" I got lost. And it was getting dark so I found your tower and thought... I thought... I" he silenced

"You...?"Rapunzel inquired

"I thought I could stay here for the night" he tried

Rapunzel cocked an eyebrow. Jack was pretty sure he just freaked her out even more; "Just great, Jack" he said to himself. The silence that remind was really award for Jack. He was sure she was judging his bad-alibi.

"You thought it was alone?" She finally asked

Jack knew from the first moment that the tower wasn't alone but it was better to follow her.

"Certainly" he replied "I apologize. I didn't mean to scare you. I just want to stay here for tonight, if you let me of course"

Rapunzel bit her lip again.

"I don't know. I should asked mother" she said putting one bare feet down in the floor. Jack ran towards her and stopped her from getting up, he didn't want that woman who didn't believe to think Rapunzel was crazy or something, just because she couldn't see him.

"No!" He grabbed Rapunzel's wrists "Sorry!" He apologized. He was doing a really good job freaking her out. He sighed "But I have seen your mother when I've climbed up your tower" He didn't want to say anything bad towards her mother but that woman was really creepy "I... She's really... I wouldn't..." He tried

Rapunzel giggled softly. Her laugher was pretty much as a baby's one. It was sweet and full of happiness.

"Are you.." Giggle "are you scared of mother?" She asked finally between giggles and a cunning grimace.
