Missing You

A/N- I don't own the characters in the story. I am just playing around with the characters that JK Rowling created.

It was a very cold winter day and a young man of 17 was sitting outside some grave stones in the cemetery. He came here often with his godfather to visit his parents. But, today he was alone. It was plan to see that the boy wanted to be left alone and not bothered. So his godfather was happy not to go. He hated the fact that he went. Yes the boy needed to see his parents but, it was his fault in his eyes. They died because they fought to protect Harry in the end. "Hey, mum and dad, I was made Head boy. I am really thrilled with that fact. It would be loads better if you were here to share it with me but, I understand why you died. Just know how much I love you" said Teddy.

He let the tears fall. Teddy Lupin missed his parents dearly even if he was only a baby when they died. He had heard so many stories about him but, the one thing he wanted most in life was to meet them. Teddy sat there for a few moments thinking about what else he could say, when a man sat next to him. "Hey, Ted, Harry said you would be here. I know you want to be left alone but, I thought we could talk for a few if you like" said Neville pulling his scarf around his neck.

Teddy pulled his cloak tighter around him as the wind blew. He looked Neville straight in the face. Yes he wanted to be alone but, he would never turn down a talk with Professor Longbottom. They had grown close over the years. Both of them had grown up without parents plus they both lived with their grandmother. Teddy sighed. "I miss them so much and it hurts. I thought it the pain would ease over time but, it has not. Please help me" said Ted in a pleading voice.

Neville sighed. He knew the pain never went away not really. His parents spent years in St. Mango's before they finally passed away. He didn't know what it was like to have parents die and never know them. All he had ever known was two people in Hospital beds. "Ted, I wish I could ease your pain but, I can't" Neville said plain and simple.

Ted nodded at that. He understood that. Two people stepped out of the shadow that they had not realized were there. Neville raised his wand as did Ted. "We come in piece" said the man.

He was a tall man with Sandy hair and he looked to be young. There was a woman next to him with brown hair. She had a big smile on her heart shaped face. "Teddy, we have been watching over you and we want you to know, we love you. We are very proud of you" said Tonks.

If she could cry she would have but, she couldn't. They were not Ghost nor people just something there to give Teddy piece of mind. "Mum, Dad?" Ted asked.

They nodded as Neville said "Professor Lupin?"

Once again they nodded. "Yes Neville that is me. I am no longer a professor though. Son I am very proud of the man you have became. I know that your last year at Hogwarts will be the best one yet. Please know that we never wanted to leave you ever. There was a war and we wanted to make a better place for you to live in" said Remus.

Ted looked at the two of them. He was in a state of shock. Those were his parents but, how. They were dead. "How did you come back?" He asked concerned.

Remus looked sadly at him. "We didn't. We are just here for a moment to tell you how much we love you" said Remus.

Ted nodded at that. It pained him to think that he would not get to spend time with his parents at all but, he was glad for the moment he got with them. "I love you both so much and I could never be angry with you" said Ted with a smile on his face.

Remus and Tonks stepped forward. They held out their arms. Ted stood there for a moment before going into their arms. He hugged them as the tears fell more. "We will always love you, son. Also we will always watch out for you" said Remus.

Tonks smirked at her son. "I see you like your hair Blue" said Tonks with a chuckle.

Ted looked up at his hair. It was his trade mark turquoise blue. "Yea I do. That I get from you mum. Everyone says that we are alike in alot of ways. Dad I love to correct people like you did plus I am kind hearted and care about others. I wish you could stay here with me" Ted spoke.

Remus pulled way from his son. He had a sad look on his face. "I wish we could too but, this isn't our world it is yours. We died a long time ago son. We want to be with you but, can't. You understand don't you?" asked Remus.

Ted nodded once again. He understood alright even if he did not like it. Neville had tears down his face. "Ted, know this, they loved you and died to make a better world for you and everyone else" said Neville.

Teddy nodded as he hugged his mother and father one last time. "I know and understand. Love you both" said Ted.

One moment they were there then they were gone. Neville held Ted close as he let it all out. He knew this was going to be hard. "Ted, what do you say we keep this between us. No one has to know. I bet the only person that would believe it is, Harry" said Neville.

Remus looked at his wife. "Andromeda and Harry did a good job" said Remus smiling from where he was at.

Dora smiled as well. "They sure did and it looks like he had other family as well" said Dora.

Neville and Ted left the cemetery together. "I guess we could keep it between us. No one really needs to know" said Ted with a smile on his face.

Seeing his parents made him happy.
