"James Barnes I cannot believe you did that! And into a god damn lake!" You shouted at your mission partner. You stormed into the elevator dripping wet, a towel wrapped around your shoulders and your hair dripping water onto the floor.

"I wasn't gonna die." Bucky argued as you stepped into the living room. You rolled your eyes and scoffed.

"Right, but the first thing that runs through your head is to jump off a FUCKING BUILDING." Steve smirked as his friend walked bashfully behind you. "How many times have I told you to stop doing that?!" You yelled at him.

"25 exactly." Steve piped up from the couch. You whirled on him.

"Don't even get me started Steven. I've seen you do it thousands of times." As you yelled      at Steve Bucky tried to back out of the room his sopping wet clothes sticking to his skin. You didn't even have to to turn around to tell him to get back in the room. He sighed and sat down next to Steve on the couch, using his towel to dry his hair.

"Look Y/N/N I'm sorry. I was just trying to get their attention off of you." He said. You ran a hand over you face and threw your towel over a chair.

"I know Bucky, I just-just. You know what? We can just forget about it." You shook your head and walked out of the room. "I'm going to shower."

"Buck, you're an idiot you know that?" Bucky let out a breathy laugh and nodded.
"I'm serious. Why do you think she was so pissed?" Steve gave his friend a concerned look. "I think maybe your age is messing with your eyes, old man."

"What?" Steve rolled his eyes.

"Can't you see it?"

"See what?"

"Bucky, that girl has had a crush on you since she met you. And you're sitting here jumping into lakes and off of buildings." A look of realization crossed Bucky's face as he recalled times he had caught you staring or blushing when he walked by.

"Ah, shit." Steve nodded and clapped his friend in the back.

"Well, this is no longer my problem. Good luck pal."

"Thanks Steve."

"Anytime." He saluted and walked out leaving Bucky to contemplate ways he could fix this.
------

You stood in the shower, letting warm water run down your back, massaging shampoo into your scalp. You wondered how Bucky could be so clueless about your feelings for him. You had spent at least 8 months crushing on him and when he became your mission partner it had only strengthened those feelings towards him. You finished your shower and pulled on a pair of sweats and a tank top. Waiting for a bowl of popcorn to finish popping you heard a knock. You answered it and found Bucky waiting.

"Oh! Hey Bucky." You exclaimed, your heart fluttering at his name on your lips.

"Hey Y/N. I just wanted to apologize for earlier." As he explained why he was at your door your heart dropped.

"Oh no, you're fine. I was just worried I mean since-" You caught yourself just in time.

"Since what?" He was leaning on your door frame his arm muscles visible through his white t-shirt.

"It's nothing really. Uh, I was just about to watch a movie, would you like to join me?" He nodded and you closed the door behind him, mentally high-fiving yourself. After grabbing the popcorn and a blanket you sat down next to Bucky on the couch.

"What movie are we watching?" He asked. You threw a piece of of popcorn in your mouth.

"Guess." He tapped his finger on his chin in fake thought.

"Hmm...Mulan?" He smirked knowing he was right.

"Yup. You know me so well." Too bad he doesn't see how perfect we would be. Shut up. Don't be so negative, he could like you back. Yea right.

"What are you thinking about there Y/L/N?"

"Hm? Oh nothing." You replied feeling a blush creep up your neck.

"Oh. Ok." Fix this you dumbass. You're the one letting her slip away. But what if she rejects me? Steve was right, you are blind. The girl's all over you. Just kiss her or something!
"Y/N?"

"Yeah?"

"I have something to tell you." You reached over and paused the movie.

"Ok. Shoot."

"Well um, you know how we're mission partners right?" You were puzzled.

"Uh, yeah? Remember how I screamed at you earlier for almost dying?" He laughed and continued,

"Well I was wondering if you would want to be different kind of partners?"

"Like...?"

"Like dating partners?" He said as if it was a question. "It's ok if you don't want-" You cut him off by kissing him. Your lips fit together perfectly as he pulled you closer and you wrapped his hair in your hands.

"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that." You said as you pulled apart.

"It's the old age. Screws up my eyesight." He joked. You laughed and kissed him again.

"That's ok, we can get you glasses."

I guess this is ok. I think I could do better but hey, I'm lazy and stressed. Hopefully you liked it as I've been having Bucky Barnes withdrawal problems so yea...
Anyways! Hope you like it!
