Chapter 1: What I Saw

My breathing became faster as I ran further into the woods.He was still after me.Why did it have to be me?Couldn't it have been someone more unlucky than me?Why is life so unfair.I quickened my pace as I soon began seeing my house.Once I arrived he didn't continue chasing me he vanished.I was relieved to be home.I entered the house only to find it empty.

I was tired I had been running to much.I couldn't believe it was Sunday.Ugh.School the place everyone hates.At least I had friends who support me when i'm down. I waited for my parents to return but they never did.What if something happened to them?Just when I was about to freak out,my phone buzzed.

From Mom: won't be home tonight your father and I are staying at a hotel.

From me: ok mom thanks for telling me I was kinda getting worried, bye love you

*Its Monday*

School.School.School. The time when you hang out with friends and do work.

The moment I walked in school my friends were waiting for me by my locker. Alex( So Alex is a girl just so people won't be confused),Scott,Derek,Jay, and Fernanda were my best friends since 1st grade and now we are in high school and it feels like yesterday we all met.I walked up to them and they greeted me with 'heys' and 'hellos'.

"So did you guys hear that One Direction is going to go to our school!",Fern said.

"Yes!",I said.

We talked and talked about how cute every guy from One Direction are,but Derek, Scott and Jay were totally ignoring us while we speak. We got up from our seats and started for our next class.I was distracted of the thought of One Direction coming to our school that I didn't look where I was going and bumped into somebody.

"I'm sorry love,"A thick Irish accent said. I recognized that voice anywhere.I didn't look up because I knew I was blushing.

"It's o...kay",I stuttered.When I finally looked up he was looking at me with sparkling blue eyes that I got mesmerized in.

"I'm Niall.Niall Horan", he said.

"Um...hi i'm Demi, are you new here?"

"Yeah,I am"

"Cool,I heard you came with Your bandmates,is that true?"

"Yeah,but I don't know where they are",he said while running his fingers in his hair.'O gosh he's so hot' I mentally thought.

"Hello?"

"Huh.what!"

"You kind of dozed of for a minute",Niall said.

"Um,sorry",I said."But I have to go now".'I really needed to go because I have homework and i'm scared of going home alone in the dark' I mentally thought.

"Well i'll see you tomorrow",he said.

"Sure"

I walked down the street to my house. Suddenly I heard screaming.A woman.'Help' she yelled. I rushed to where the woman was and I was surprised to see three guys surrounding her. She saw me and her eyes grew wide. They noticed her and turned around, just before they saw me I hid behind a tree. Their eyes changed to a dark red. I couldn't take seeing this lady suffer, so when I was about to turn around and run,the boys grew 'fangs'. I ran as fast I could and reached my house. I locked the doors and windows, anything with a lock I locked. I closed the blinds and locked myself in my room.I couldn't sleep after what I saw.

*Its Tuesday*

I woke up only to find out it was 6:00 in the morning. I had two more hours until school. I prepared my things and started for starbucks, once I arrived ,I ordered a cappuccino and a muffin. After I finished I headed for school. I arrived and as usual everyone was waiting for me by my locker.

"So,I just befriended Niall",I told everyone.

"Damn that's some hard-core shit Demi",Derek said.

"No its not", Alex chimed in.

Suddenly Niall and his bandmates walked in.Everyone stopped and stared. Like literally everyone and I could see every girl drooling over them. Even guys wanna be like them. That's some real 'bullshit'. I don't wanna be somebody else I wanna be me. I was still in thought that I didn't notice Niall leaving his mates and heading our way. Alex brought me back to life by hitting me with her elbow. When I looked why Alex hit me, I realized Niall was standing near Jay,Derek and Scott. I walked to where they were at and stood in front of Niall.

"Oh, hi Demi", Niall said.

"Hi?"

Everyone was looking at us, as if we were together or something.Eww. I turned around and saw Alex talking to Liam. I can tell she has a thing for him. I can't believe I forgot about Niall. O gosh

Niall I totally forgot. I looked back to see Niall with a confused look on his face.

"Um...sorry Niall I was distracted".His face turned from confused to a smile.

"Why are you smiling?", I asked.

"Oh, I'm smiling because... um Liam just made a friend", he sounded nervous.

"Like if that's gonna be hard, your all super famous and popular you'll make more friends than me"

"Ok that's true, but I mean as in a 'girl' friend", he said while putting quotation marks around the worod 'girl'.

"Your weird", I said.

"No,no I'm not I am perfectly fine", he replied.

"What ever"

"So what you doing Friday night?", he asked. Like really he's doing this on his second day of school.

"Well that's none of your business", I turned around and saw the guys giving me thumbs up, saying ' great job'. I saw people giving 'oh's' and I couldn't help but laugh. I walked away leaving him embarassed.
