Cammie and I had been preparing a surprise party for Stevie, not only a party but the whole day actually! We were gonna meet in the new Harry Potter park that had just opened because Stevie was always talking abou it. I was gonna take her and tell her we were just gonna go for lunch or something. Cammie took care of all the guests so I wasn't exactly sure who was gonna be there but probably all the people we usually hang out with. I decided to take Stevie to my tree house in the evening because she really seemed to like it there but I wanted to decorate it with blue flowers as she stated she would like in her wedding. I hoped she really liked it and it wouldn't  make her sad.

The day before her birthday I had to get rid of Stevie to go and prepare the tree house.
"Stevie, I got a call from the company and I need to go there right now" I tried not to look at her so that she didn't  realise I was lying.
"What do they want? I want to spend the day with you in the couch watching Netflix" she looked at me with a sad face and for a second I thought about not going but I was doing it for her so I really had to do it.
"I know babe but I really need to go." I got close to her and kissed her  forehead. Then I headed out the door as fast as I could so I wouldn't think twice and stay home.

I ended up taking care of another surprise for her birthday no one else knew about so I took a little longer. My phone started ringing when I was already driving home, for my surprise it was Cammie.

"Hi Cam, what's up?"
"Hi Ally, so Stevie called me and said you left three hours ago and she doesn't know where you are or if something is going on so I got a bit worried and decided to call you."
"Oh fuck, it's  so late already! I had to prepare some things for tomorrow and I only had time today and I ended up taking very long. But I'm  heading home already, I might stop at Starbucks really quickly to get something for Stevie."
"Great, she is gonna love that. Please be home soon Ally. Stevie needs you and she doesn't  know what's going on  and she cannot find out about tomorrow before the right time so act cool!"
"Yes, miss Cammie. No worries" I could hear her laugh on the other side of the phone. "Thank you for letting me know about Stevie, I'll  see you tomorrow."

"Hi babe, I got you coffee" I said once I opened the door.
"You took so long!" I put our coffees down on the coffee table and sat with her on the couch.
"I know princess, I'm  sorry. Do you want to watch Netflix while we drink our coffee?" I hugged her thigh and kissed her head.
"That sounds perfect" she said smiling. Then she stepped away and looked at me "Are you gonna disappear tomorrow again?" She looked so sad.
"No babe! Even if they call me I just won't  answer it."
She didn't  seem convinced but she also didn't  seem like she wanted to argue so she leaned on my shoulder and didn't say anything else.

Hi, sorry for having disappeared for months! I decided to give this story a few more chapters and then maybe start a new one. Also, I know nothing really happens in this chapter but I needed a connection chapter to now link it with the next ones (and as usual it's 1am because I can only work at night time).
