Whenever I thought about camping, it always used to come with fun and adventure. But camping that night was adventure alright, not at all fun.

We were tired and exhausted like hell. Every single one of us was like,
*need a bed want to sleep* .
But when you go on a trip with this many people you have to suffer the consequences. Yes Like SUFFER.

'We lost that nice camp here the guy gave it to some other family just before we arrived here' informed Bhaiya in an exasperated tone when we reached the camping site.

'So do they have any camp left for us?' Asked hubby .

'Yes, come Hassan Bhai, I think we can manage to stay in those two big camps he has shown us, they are not very comfortable but at least we get to stay in them' said Riaz bhai as my hubby followed him.

We waited at a tea stall, for them to settle down the deal with the guy and had our dinner meanwhile, which we had brought with us in cans, we were crazy hungry,  so we ate like crazy too. The rotis ( flat bread) were hot and fresh.
We had the most exquisite tea there at the stall my head was hammering like hell and I needed it badly.

'Let's go to camps and rest now' suggested Api.

It was a dark night we could hear the water flowing in the stream on our left but could not clearly see it. We used our mobile lights to see what was up a head. As far as I could see there was the camping site with camps glowing like a cluster of stars scattered here and there, it was a beautiful site. But as we went near our camps, the area was more congested there.
At the very end of the site were the two camps, side by side, large enough for us.
The smell grew stronger. It was a mixture of damp cloths and mud. The opening of the camps was situated at the far side of the site.

'All the males will stay in this camp and in the other females and kids' said Shahid bhai.

'Manahil we will sleep here OK?' Pointed Baji at the place near the mouth of the camp where there wasn't any mattress. The carpet was thick yet it was not covering the dampness of the floor.

'It's fine by me' said Manahil who is Shahid bhai's niece, a teenager that came with us for her first tour to the Northern Areas.

'I am sleeping here' said Bhabi, (Bhaiya's wife). As she spread a thin sheet on the carpet.

'Bhabi you can squeeze in here on the mattress if you like' I said.

'It's ok I'll be fine here' said bhabi.

'At least take these sleeping bags they will conceal the dampness here'.

'Will it be enough for us? There are a lot of kids' inquired Omaina

'You have any better solution than this? '
I asked. 'Plus it seems like it is enough'.

'We can manage ' said Api.

'It's the smell that's killing me' said Taymia. 'Zuna, Hashir and Salama come and sleep with me here, there is enough space, plus I would love some cuddly stuff with me'. It's very important for Taymia to cuddle and sleep, she prefered a fluffy pillow, as there wasn't any so she managed with her cute siblings.

'All the stuff is damp here' added Omama.

'What will we do about the light here, can it be turned off?' said Omaina

'I don't think so' Api said.' We can cover it with some thing to reduce the brightness'

'Yes can we use this' I pointed towards the spare old news paper. Making a roll from it but It didn't worked.

'We should put some thick cloth, say may be a fleece or something over this rope that's going beneath the saver' said Api. And it worked out fine the light dimmed, like a night lamp.

'I have to take some cloths out for the night from my carry-on please can you bring it here its the dark brown one' I asked Emmu as he stood at our camps mouth.

'You should have asked me before now I have to go to our coaster again to fetch it' sighed Emmu.

'Please yaar you're my best bro' I pleaded.

The most dreaded nightmare was the bathroom, it was a public toilet, one and only one for more then five camps all together. We had to take somebody with us and wait for our turn too. I was scared what will I do if any of my kids wanted to go at the middle of the night but thankfully it never happened.

Honestly speaking I really don't remember much of that night we just dumped ourselves to the floor mattresses. Soon enough we all were snoring like it was our first or the last night to rest.
