Chapter 1.

The Bellas left Barden about 2 months ago. Jesse invited his closest friends to a ski lodge in Columbia, that his parents own.

You're on a bus to Columbia to see your friends from college. You look down at the phone in your hand as it vibrates. You received a video from your good friend Jesse. You click the play button and look at the screen.

"Hey friends and fans" he begins. "I can't wait to spend an incredible weekend with you guys. We can all just forget about our jobs and stuff so we can party like we're fucking porn stars." He chuckles and you shake your head at his weirdness. The video ends and you continue to listen to music.

After a while you notice a familiar face sitting behind you. It is Beca. You never really got along with her so you decide to just pretend that you didn't see her. After two hours on the bus the bus finally stops near the mountain, that Jesses parents own. You take your stuff and head outside of the bus.

The snowflakes dazzle to the ground slowly as you admire the way the mountain looks from your point of view. You decide to start making your way up the mountain before you'll have to walk with Beca.

The snow is about 10 cm deep and it's kind of hard to make your way through. You walk along a small trail. Your feet are stone cold. "Of course this had to happen." you mutter to yourself as snow gets into your boots and your feet get wet.

Suddenly you hear something in the bushes next to you. You decide to stop and look if someone has been following you.

"Hello?" You ask trying to look behind the bush.
You shrug and continue to walk.

After a 30 minutes hike you arrive at the ski lift that will bring you up most of the way to the lodge.

You look around and see a backpack on the bench in front of the ski lift. It's Benjis. You look around, but it's too dark to see anything. "Hello? Benji?" You look around but he's not where to be seen. His phone is vibrating. You decide to take a look who it is. "Ooohhh Emily" you smirk to yourself. " (y/n)?" You suddenly hear a familiar voice. "Hey Benji." You say shocked but relived. "What were you doing?" He says clearly motioning to his bag. "Oh nothing- I was just... just looking." You say nervous. Benji nods "Ok..." he then says. "I found something pretty amazing." He says walking away again. "What is it?" You ask following him. "Come see yourself." Benji says leading you to a shooting range. "Ta Dah" he smiles presenting it to you. "Isn't this beautiful?" He says still smiling as he takes a gun. "Beautiful is not exactly the word that I would use... What is a shooting range doing at the bottom of a mountain anyways?" You say crossing your arms.
"Hello? Have you ever met Jesses dad?" Benji says playing with the gun "Yes..." you say slightly annoyed "He thinks he's Grizzly Adams or something. Wanna try?" He says looking at you for the first time. "No thank you." You decline "but go ahead Grizzly" you joke. Benji aims at some cans and targets. You applaud everytime he hits.

"Come on let's get going" you say after about ten minuets of watching Benji shoot. He just puts down the gun and nods following you to the lift. When you want to open the door to the little wooden house that leads to the life it's locked. "Why would you even lock this?" You say stepping aside. "Jesse said he once caught people sleeping here. That's why" The nerd explains and pulls out a key to open the door.

You step in a take a look in the 'control center' , how Jesse calls it. You only see a few camera displays and walk out again just as the lift arrives. "After you" Benji says and bows. You giggle and get inside. On the way up the mountain, Benji tells you how he and Jesse met and you talk about the butterfly effect...
