Overture - Book Two

01 - Old Friends, New Revenge

CHAPTER 1

Lemroan focuses on getting to LAIA before Eli leaves him. As he gets to a taxi, he notices something... something like someone trying to sabotage his flight. He notices a man across the street looking at him, immensely. Lemroan doesn't think anything of it, as he proceeds to step into the vehicle. Lemroan notices a bad stench in the vehicle, like someone had hidden raw eggs in the car for 2 weeks, it bothers him, but he tries to ignore it. Lemroan receives a call, private number, he declines and continues to look outside the window for special super cars. Once again, a private number calls, decline, Lemroan repeats the same algorithm until he reaches LAIA, where he meets Eli. "What took you so long", "I was in a cab, smelled like shit, and I kept on getting calls from a private number, so frustrating, but I'm here now, so we can get on our flight" Lemroan explained "Whatever, flights leavin'n 2 hours, let's get through security quick" replied Eli.

The two get through security quick enough, well, as quick as anyone trying to get through LAIA security. They get on the flight, and are heading for New Mexico, and to start researching in Black Mesa. While on the flight, Lemroan notices the same man who he saw on the street before he got into the cab, was on the flight with him, again, he thought nothing of it, because Lemroan knew that he couldn't get inside Black Mesa, so he would be safe from whatever this person is trying to do.

After the flight, Lemroan and Eli get their luggage, and get a cab to Black Mesa Residential. They get a good quality suite, and Eli says to Lemroan "This is where we are going to stay, Lemroan! Here living the life in Black Mesa Residential! Woo! With a 5 star premium suite." "Listen Eli, I know you're excited for me coming back to do -science- together, but come on, do I have to LIVE with you my entire life here?" replied Lemroan. "Well, of course, me and you are best colleagues, we gotta live together so we can cope better at work" "I'm not into that gay shit bro, please tell me we have separate beds" "Well of course we do, Lemroan you silly bitch."

Lemroan unpacks his stuff into his room, and Eli walks into the room "Hey Lemroan, you gotta wake up a 5AM every morning for the rest of your life to do this job, you know we have a strict schedule, you wouldn't wanna get fired on your first week now would you". Lemroan takes a second to process what Eli just said, he double-takes to make sure he isn't dreaming and replies with "Eli, you are telling me, that I have to wake up at 5 a motherfucking m in order to work this strict shit job?" "Yup, that's exactly what I fucking told you, now listen to me or else you will be put on the streets"

Lemroan realizes that he's been fucking cucked, put into a trap that he can't escape from, he remembers his past experiences with Black Mesa in the Arizona facility, he now realizes that everything that's happened to him from the day he accepted to here till now, is because of the trap, to make him anxious. Lemroan will forge a plan to escape the trap that Eli has lured him into. "Hey Eli, can I ask you a question" "Sure buddy" "Are you fucking high? I was living the fucking dream in LA and you take me to shitty New Mexico to work a shitty paying job, with the worst fucking working conditions in the fucking world? Fuck you, I'm fucking challenging you to a fight right fucking here you nasty fucking fag, fight me right now, I fucking dare you, bitch"

Lemroan see's Draven appear from the darkest shadow of the suite, and Draven tells to Lemroan this "Hey, Lemroan, how ya fucking doin'? Because I know I'm doing fucking great, it's time to kill me some Lemroan meat. Eli, this bitch is mine" Lemroan replies "Draven!? The fuck!? How did you find and expect Eli to tell you my whereabouts?" "It's because Eli knows not to associate himself with fucking dirty rats like you, selling out your own friend for personal gain? Fucking sick. Eli knows the whole story, as do I. Also may I tell you, Darius knows as well, he fucking hates you now. Was a shame he couldn't come on the trip, I was half-expecting him to want to kill some Lemroan scum as well, but I guess he just doesn't feel the pain I had to, when I got beat up by 50 fucking cops and I didn't even know why. Time for you to feel my pain and another thi-"

Lemroan takes the chance of Draven talking his ass off to attack, as he knows Eli is incapable of hand-to-hand combat, he starts with Draven, instantly hitting him in the chin with an uppercut, Draven soon fights back, with a kick to the abdomen. The fight rages on but Lemroan is victorious, he finally slits the throat of Draven, and begins to make Eli his personal slave, otherwise killing him.

"You, are a fucking monster!" yelled Eli. "How could you fucking do this, you've fucking killed someone in my 5 star premium suite, there's blood all over" "Draven would've done fucking same with me, don't fucking complain Eli, you know damn well as I do that Draven would've cut my guts out had he been strong enough to fight me." 

Eli and Lemroan argue longer, until Lemroan explains that Eli is now his slave, and that any failure to comply to orders will result in a death sentence. On the spot slitting of the throat will be Eli's death sentence, no matter the place, time or date.

Eli was shocked, he never knew the plan would backfire, Eli was hoping that Lemroan would've gotten caught off guard, but he knew better, but now Lemroan had all friends turned on him, all because of the exposed actions of him throughout his travels from Arizona to LA.

After the debate, Lemroan was sat in his room, thinking about what to do, he knew Eli was going to try something, and Lemroan was deciding on whether to kill Eli or not. He was sort of leaning towards killing him, but he gave Eli the benefit of the doubt, but he will not punish Eli lightly if he fails to comply to any orders.
