"I'm going in!" Cassie shot up from behind the counter and charged the alien, slamming it into a nearby wall. It quickly recovered, seemingly taking no damage and stared darkly at Cassie. It's eyes glowed red and fired at Cassie, shooting her across the room and at the countertop.
"CASS!" Tim jumped over the countertop and grabbed her, threw her over his arm and ran across the room, dodging incoming red energy.
"I got you!" Virgil called. He removed the lid off of a trash can and held it in front of the Alien's laser, reflecting it at a glass.
"Dang... That was a great glass..."
Virgil hopped the countertop and threw the lid at the alien, bouncing it back.
Virgil wielded lightning and electrocuted the alien. The alien fell to the ground.
"Okay, so it's weakness is lightning," Virgil informed himself.
Tim threw Cassie on the couch and held her hand.
"Why's she out? She gets slammed around all the time!" Virgil asked as he ran over to Tim and Cassie.
"The laser it shot at her... Like... An omega-beam."
"The thing Darksied has?"
"Bingo," Tim replied as he lay his head on her stomach, listening for a heartbeat.
