Chapter 13

I'm afraid that I will be avoided by him. I do not want that to happen. I want to spend a lot of time with him. He came after 10 minutes. I saw him as soon as he came in, and looked into his eyes. Deep eyes and a serious face without a smile. Probably surprised that I was there because he looked dazed, but he sat down. He pulled the chair that was next to me.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late." 

Alex and Elsa continued the conversation. I could not get my eyes off Mateo. It was too obvious but I could not do it. The kiss happened again in front of my eyes in the moment i saw him. What's next? What now? He turned his gaze to me, but I didn't look away. I forget everything when I look in those grey eyes. I do not want to look away. But to not make it even more awkward,i looked away. And so did he. 

Elsa said she saw a friend from university and went to greet her, and Alex went to the bathroom. Mateo and I were alone.

"I'm...I'm sorry Sophia." - He broke the silence. "I shouldn't have done that."

He's sorry.

"So...you...you didn't actually mean to kiss me?"

"Ah, hell. Of course, I did. You're a beautiful and amazing girl,Sophia, but this isn't the time or place for . . . I can't..."Alex appeared at that moment and Mateo stopped talking.

"You can't what Mateo?" - Said and smiled.

"I can not pass all the exams,this will be difficult." Is so easy for him to lie?

elsa came back. They talked for a while until we decided to go home. All the way to the dormitory,I thought about what Mateo said,or better like wanted to say. What can't he do? And why not? What does he hide from me and all of us?
