This place looks like a dump.
I don't even want to be here.
I walked up to the front door of the huge mansion. How could anyone live here? The plants surrounding the house are dead, the mansion is falling apart. I don't get it.
I knocked on the door.
"What's the password?" Someone from behind the door asked. All of a sudden, a group of numbers popped into my head. 10524. Since I had no other ideas for passwords, I decided to give those numbers a go.
The door opened and I walked in. What surprised me the most was that the inside of this mansion looked super nice. There were oriental rugs and velvet couches. This place looked so beautiful, much unlike the exterior of the mansion.
A girl walked by. She had long blonde hair.
"Are you new!?" The girl looked right at me. She had stunning blue eyes that were almost grey, and was she... levitating?
"Yeah," was all I could say.
"I'm Lillian. Nice to meet you! Do you know your power yet? Do you know why you're here?" Lillian asked me too many questions.
"Uh..."
"Well, this is Ms. Mordecai's School for Peculiar Children. If you're here, you're someone special. Everyone here has a special power. For example, mine is flying. I don't think you know yours. Follow me, I'm going to take you to someone who can help you." Lillian didn't even stop to breathe.
We walked up a long winding staircase to the second floor. The second floor was a long corridor with many locked doors. Lillian lead to me to the last door on the right.
"No boys are allowed in this room. Give me one second." Lillian opened the door and walked in. She came back out a second later with another girl with long auburn hair, longer than Lillian's.
"This is Lucia. She's going to help you." Lucia looked at me. She didn't even smile.
"Do we know the boy's abilities?" Lucia asked. Lillian shook her head. Lucia thanked Lillian and then Lucia lead me downstairs to the main floor, then down another flight of stairs to a... basement?
"Sit here. Don't move." Lucia looked at me sternly. I sat down.
"We are doing a test to find out your abilities. If you fail the first test, we'll go on. Try to complete the tasks to the best of your ability. Are you ready?" Lucia sounded much more soft. I nodded. She left and came back with a small horse with a little bump on its head. Lucia head some glittering triangle in her hand.
"This unicorn's horn fell off. It's your job to heal the unicorn." Lucia gave me the horn. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't heal the unicorn. I felt really bad, because the poor unicorn had no horn. It just...broke my heart.
"Oh...kay. I'll heal it then. Are you ready for the next test?" Lucia took the horn and stuck it back on the unicorn's head. I sat in shock as I saw her healing the unicorn. Healing must be her power then.
"Okay," Lucia took a red ball and held it in her hands, "I'm going to bounce the ball, and you are going to try to stop it from bouncing. You cannot use your hands, just your mind." Lucia started to bounce the ball on the floor. To my surprise, I was able to make the ball stop. I think I saw Lucia smile a little bit.
"Well them, your power is telekinesis. You can move things with her mind. Congrats."Lucia said the sentence with hardly any emotion.
After some time, Lucia lead me back to the second floor, where she lead me to the boys' bedroom.
"This is where you will sleep.Find someone who will show you everything you need to know. Bye." Lucia left in the boys' bedroom, and that's where I am now.
