The next day was the worst. I walked up to my locker and slowly opened it. A bunch of stinky wet socks fell out and everyone around me laughed. I backed away, unable to handle the smell.
"Jeez, Lil. Your locker sure does stink." Remarked Kyle Portman.
"What kind of a pig just puts all of their dirty socks in their locker? GROSS!" Said Miranda Frank.
I didn't say anything. I couldn't just tell them that they weren't mine. They wouldn't believe me and I had no idea who put the socks there in the first place.
Suddenly, I was lightly pushed away from my locker. There stood that mysterious boy again. He started to clean the socks up from the floor.
"Look at the low life cleaning up his girlfriend's mess." Kyle laughed.
Jason stood up and pinned Kyle against the locker.
"Woah, calm down man! I was only joking." Kyle said sarcastically.
"You do realize that the cameras above us are always on, right? Those cameras caught you putting all those nasty ass socks in her locker." Jason said.
Kyle nervously glanced up at the cameras.
"Maybe you should confess, Kyle." Miranda said.
"Shut up! This prick is just making stuff up." Kyle yelled.
Kyle pushed out of Jason's grip and grabbed my neck.
"Don't say a God damn..." Kyle started.
Jason pulled Kyle off of me and slammed him into the wall, punching him in the gut.
"Don't fucking touch her," Jason said coolly, "or I'll rip your God damn head off."
Kyle scurried away with Miranda right behind him.
Jason once again, started to clean up the socks. I kneeled down next to him.
"Thanks for doing that." I said simply.
Jason glanced over at me.
"You need to learn how to take care of yourself, girl. You can't just stand there and take their shit then expect them to leave you alone." He said.
I didn't say anything. I knew he was right.
He sighed.
"My name is Lilliana, by the way. Lilliana Montgomery." I said.
"I'm Jason. Jason Johnson." He said.
