Cole and Oly sat on the floor of Oly's bedroom, playing a game called War. It was Cole's turn and he grabbed an unknown card from his stack. He flipped the card over and placed it down onto the oak wood floor. Just about the same exact time Cole revealed his card, Oly also flipped his card over and on the card lied 10 hearts. Cole had lost, considering his card had been a 9 hearts.
Oly grinned at his victory and collected his cards, before pulling out another one. He frowned in disappointment as the card was a 2 ace. Cole pulled out his next card that sat on top his stack, and hoped for the best. His face went into a half smile as he saw his card was a queen. He gladly stole Oly's card and took his back. The boys continued the game.
After a while, Oly looked at the clock with a slight surprised face. "We've been playing for an hour and a half." He stated, looking at Cole. Cole simply just nodded. Although it was surprising how they kept themselves entertained for so long, Cole didn't seem to mind, and neither did Oly.
2 more days, Cole thought. Until I have to make up my mind. He had been thinking about it alot lately. Sadly, he wasn't so sure about it. Having a new family just didn't seem right, but a new family was better than no family at all.
Don't get him wrong, he loved this place. His foster mother and father were the best. It was Oly that seemed a bit weird. Or maybe he was the weird one. He shrugged at the thought, catching the attention of Oly.
"Something wrong?" Oly asked. Cole shook his head. He had to reframe himself from grabbing his notebook and spilling a whole bunch of secrets, or maybe even just one.
He hated the fact, but he felt different around Oly. Oly had a weird aora that made him seem the type that you could automatically trust, and it really scared Cole.
"Cole, you know you can tell me anything, right?" Oly suddenly said. Cole jumped slightly at the sound of his voice, but quickly relaxed. He looked at Oly and nodded.
Oly pouted slightly and got on all fours, crawling toward Cole. Cole's eyes widened as Oly came closer. Oly stopped in front of Cole, and leaned into his face a bit. Cole stared at Oly with his eyes that asked 'what are you doing?', but Oly only stared.
Sadness invaded Oly's eyes, as he had seem to come to a realization. His eyes watered slightly, but he held the tears back.
"Why don't you trust me..?" He asked. Cole shook his head. I do trust you! He wanted to say. I just don't trust you fully.
Cole grabbed his notebook, that sat in his lap, and began to write. When he was finished writing, he held up the message.
I do trust you. Just not fully. It read.
