Chapter 5: Sophie

Sophie stopped walking as she heard the "friend-zone" words from Jeremy. She stared at Jeremy who continued to walk. She lowered her head.

" Friends huh? " Sophie whispered to herself.

She couldn't move, she felt like her feet were having adhesives sticking on the ground. She was too strucked by the words of Jeremy

" Hey! Yo Sophie! Hurry up! " Jeremy called from afar.

Sophie snapped out of being strucked and continued walking. She caught up with Jeremy and they arrived at the cabin.

" Hey, you okay? " Jeremy suddenly asked.

" Yeah, I just... remembered something " Sophie made up.

" Oh okay, let's go get our tent and other stuff then? " Jeremy asked.

" Sure " Sophie agreed.

They went inside and out a couple of times while bringing their stuff outside. After a few minutes.

" That's the last of em' " Jeremy said as he dropped the bag of their tent.

" Dude, don't drop it like that, you'll damage it " Sophie told Jeremy.

" Oh, sorry " Jeremy apologized.

" Its okay. I've been noticing this since we were still young " Sophie wondered.

" What? " Jeremy consciously asked.

" You're so soft " Sophie said.

" An handsome too " Jeremy gave Sophie a wink as he said these words.

Sophie tongued out at Jeremy.

" Ima check my friends first " Jeremy said.

" Okay, I'll put up the tent " Sophie answered.

" Wait, lemme help you, I'm gonna check on them later "' Jeremy said.

" No its okay " Sophie replied.

" Na I'll help y- " Jeremy tripped on a stone and was interrupted.

" Woah! " both of them said as they were falling.

Sophie slowly opened her eyes and she saw Jeremy on top of her. Jeremy had his eyes opened also. Sophie's heart ran like a jackhammer, she can't move. She saw Jeremy's face turned red. She gently pushed Jeremy on his chest while looking away, even though she didn't wanted to. Both of them sat up and looked away from each others sight.

" Uhmm, sorry " Jeremy apologized with that awkward tone.

" Its okay " Sophie replied lowly.

" I'll just go check on my friends now "' Jeremy said.

Then Jeremy left Sophie with her jackhammering heart. As Sophie saw Jeremy walk away, she started working on the tent.
