Chapter 1 - "Moving to Texas"

"Jade, Jade, FOR GOD SAKE JADE WAKE UP"

That sound is my mother, yes my mother, shouting at me to wake up because I'm moving to Texas today, yes Texas. I don't know why I'm moving to Texas but I guess I can't argue with her. I dont want to go to Texas but i guess i just have to deal with it.

"Jade wake up, you have to help me down with my suitcase"

that is my little sister Ariana, shes 10, im 16, and as the older sister i have to help her. I dont want to help her but as my big brother Adrian is already in Texas, i basically have to and she is my little sister after all.

i will tell you about myself since its getting a little confusing. Im Jade, im 16 and from the UK, right now im moving to Texas and i have no idea why. I live with my mum, dad, big brother Adrian age 18 and Ariana age 10. One more thing, we have a big secret and that is that we are werewolfs, no not the human thing with fur on them but an actual wolf. I guess it can be cool at times but at the same time its horrible, i hate being a wolf sometimes but like i said earlier, "i just have to deal with it".

~Skip plane ride~

Im finally in Texas, its beautiful here, i guess i could live here. Right now im in a car going to my new house which im excited and nervous about. I just remembered that im going to a werewolf school tomorrow which is just scary as hell. I hate starting at a new school because i've never really fit in with anyone, ever. My old school was torture, it was a human and werewolf school but of course the humans didnt know that werewolfs were around them. After what seemed like forever, we finally stopped at a house and i must say that i was completely shocked at the size of this house was. I saw Adrian on the steps and i ran towards him and hugged him tight while he spun me around, he did the same with Ariana. We all did some unpacking and ate dinner while we all catched up with each other, then went to bed. I have school in the morning, just great.

~Next day~

School day, just great. I got dressed and walked downstairs to find my brother ready, "why are you dressed Adrian?". He looked at me as if i was stupid, "duh im taking you to school, you dont know where it is silly, and im also picking you up", "oh, right, lets go then" i said walking to the car.

when we got there we said our goodbyes and he drove away, leaving me feeling nervous and scared. I walked to the office and the woman behind the desk looked at me and smiled, "hello dear, how may i help you?", "hi, im new here, my name is Jade Ellen". She smiled at me and then started to type stuff into her computer while i just started to look around about me really awkwardly. I noticed some people looking at me as if 'who is she?' and stuff like that, basically the normal stuff. Werewolfs have perfect hearing and we can hear people from far away, so i know what they are saying. I turned back the the woman and she turned back around, " i will be back in a minute, just getting your timetable and i map for you", "ok, thank you". She came back two minutes later and said if i needed any help then to just come back here, i said thank you and left to look at my timetable.

I looked at my timetable and saw that i had music first. YESS i love music, im so glad i have it. I started to walk to my class when i heard running then before i knew it i was on the ground, i looked up and saw that i bumped into a girl about my age "oh im so sorry, i didnt see you there" she said with worry in her voice. She helped me up and helped me grab my stuff, "its fine", she smiled, so i returned the smile, "your new here right?". I nodded and she smiled even more, "im Eva, again sorry for knocking you over", "honestly its fine and im Jade", we both hand shaked and she ended up looking at my timetable and said we have the first two classes together, thank god.

~Lunch~

its finally lunch and im really glad that Eva bumped into me other wise i wouldnt have had any friends at all. I was just walking out of my class when i felt this pull towards something or someone. I dont know what it is so i just walked away to get some food, im hungry, a girl has to eat. I got my food and instanly found Eva and her friends, she introduced me to her friends Alex, Robert, Zach, Mia and Rachel. They are really nice people to be around and they just make me laugh. I started to feel this pull towards something again and my smile faded, "Jade, are you ok?" Alex asked me, "I feel this pull thing and i dont know what it is". They all just looked at each other thinking the same thing, i knew that because of the mind link, werewolfs can talk to each other in their minds but only if your in their pack, im not in their pack so i cant talk to them. Alex looked at me again and smiled, "your mate is here some were", wow really? i havent had any talks about mates so really, im kind of clueless about it, "wow, i wonder who it is", "yeah me to" Eva said. Eva told me how her and Alex are mates and how Rachel and Zach and Mia and Robert are mates so its only me thats single. I felt the pull getting stronger and stronger, Alex seemed to get worried about me and pulled me away with Eva following behind. The pull is now faint, "whos at our table?", Alex looked at our table and looked shocked, "no, way". Even Eva looked at me confused, he looked back at me, "your Austin's mate", Eva gasped and i jumped and backed up away from them. I looked at them and they just looked at me with their mouths almost dropped to the floor, "im sorry but whos Austin?". Alex looked confused, Eva looked at Alex and said that im new here, so he understood, "Austin is the future Alpha of the pack here and it looks like your his mate", now it was my turn to have my jaw almost on the floor. Austin, future alpha, me, his mate, you've got to be joking.
