Shining
Piano.
It stood proud in the middle of spotlight and shinning with glory.
I ran my hands on the marvellous instrument delicately as if afraid to scratch it. My eyes blurring with tears and I closed them letting the tears fall.
Flashback
"I can't do it" I huffed and crossed my arms and lay my head on it.
I felt a hand on my head and I tilted my head up.
"You can ,my child. You will not give up as I won't ever give up on you."
End of flashback
I opened them again and sat down on the bench. Running my fingers along the keys which sent a familiar sensation down my spine.
Taking a deep breath, my fingers started to move on their own and my ears again started to fill with the familiar melody again.
I didn't realize I was lost in a daze until a noise of something breaking caught my attention.
Broken glasses and a bloody hand but what caught my attention was the man. Black eyes and matching black hair and a loosely tie hung around his neck and a disarranged jacket.
His eyes wide open , mouth agape and sweat covering his forehand and his black eyes searching my brown eyes as if looking for something or someone.
We stared at each other our breaths getting heavier by the minute and I felt my cheeks flushed.
It felt like forever when my eyes broke the contact and travelled down to his hand and widen. Shards of glass deeply wounded into his hand.
I was about speak but he fled not giving me another glance.
If I say I was stunned, it would be a rather understatement. Quickly gathering the grocery bags which now lay beside me. I ran.

That night, I couldn't sleep all I could think about his large black eyes.

Xavier's POV
Numbness what all I could feel. Not even the glass pieces could inflict pain.
It can't be.
Why then? Why now?
Wrapping the bandage on my plam I winced. Though my mind wander somewhere else back to those brown eyes. I tried to probe the depth but I kept on drowning.
I made my way to the shower quickly stripping off the clothes. I turned the knob and for the first time today I was relieved.
And slowly a faint thought appeared in my head.
I am going to find her and this time I am not going to step back. I am not going to lose.
