Chapter 8: Lexi's POV:
As soon as I get home I do the homework that I have missed than I go to check through my Snapchat and instagram. Yesterday as soon as I left the school my phone lit up with messages from my friends asking if I was okay and why I left school but I just ignored them though they kept coming. When I open my Snapchat I find that Rachel and Poppy have sent me like so many snaps. I don't bother replying to any of them because they will see me tomorrow as my mum is forcing me to go to school but I don't mind, I have new clothes, a new perspective on life and I don't have Patrick or anyone in my way of doing whatever the fuck I want.

'I live my day as if it was the last'
'Live my day as if there was no past'
'Doin' it all night all summer'
'Doin' it the way I wanna'
The sound of my alarm ricochet's through the quiet room in the early morning eeriness. I hop out of bed put on an outfit made out of the new clothes I bought yesterday. I go into the en-suit bathroom in my room, brush my teeth and put my hair into a messy bun not even bothering how it looks. When I get downs stairs I see my mother's face drop in complete shock.
My mum looks up at my face then down to my outfit with her mouth wide open, gasping for air trying to get her lungs to work though they clearly aren't. my dad who is sitting at the kitchen island in the middle of the kitchen takes in my outfit and gives a small response to it as "nice outfit I do prefer it over your girly pinks". If steam could come out of peoples ears it would be pouring out of my mum's ears and fogging up our whole house, scratch that more like the whole world.
"Well love you, I will see you after school" I say attempting to break up the awkward silence but of course my mum is still dead silent so with a small goodbye from my dad I'm out the door and in the car on my way to school.

I open the door of my car and get my foot out of the door when all heads turn in my direction and the whispers begin.
'oh my god look at what she's wearing'
'did you hear, Patrick cheated on her and she ran home crying'
'I heard she was sleeping with the new kid'
'yea I heard that too'
I laugh a little on the inside but keep my resting bitch face on my face preparing to enter the same building as the people I hate the most. When I'm walking down the hallway all heads turn towards me and everyone moves to the side of the walkway to let me past, clearly afraid. 'I love this' I think in my head 'everyone too afraid to bother me, I don't have to wear that fake happy face anymore'
I get a few people commenting on how they like my look but I don't bother to reply, all I want to do is get to my locker and to get to class and out of the school as soon as possible. When I'm at my locker I feel someone's presence behind me and I turn around to see my two best friends (Poppy and Rachel) standing there with a look of concern on their faces. They glance from my head to toe taking in my new outfit which is a red leather jacket over a tight wrap like crop top with Black leather pants and Black pumps. (photo above)
"What the fuck happened to you?" Rachel asks while Poppy's face holds the same emotion as my mums.
"I felt like a change" I say shrugging my shoulders turning back to my locker to grab out a couple of books for my next class
"If you want a change get a haircut, don't go out and change your whole outfit because of a boy" when she says this I feel the anger rise throughout my body, and as soon as my mouth opens I explode.
