"Next Jump in 39 Hours"
There is really nothing else I'd rather do / cause I'm happy just to dance with you
George and I danced for almost another hour until we decided to take a break.
Maybe dancing wasn't so bad after all, you just needed the right partner.
George and I went to the drink table for a glass of water. The music was still loud, so he bent down to talk into my ear, "Do you want to step outside for a bit? It's quite noisy in here,"
"Sure," I replied.
I glanced around to see if Paul was still at the party, but it seemed that he'd gone off with that girl I saw earlier. Ringo and John were also missing.
We walked up the stairs and outside into the alley that we entered. The nighttime air was cool, and it felt nice not being surrounded with a bunch of people. I leaned with my back to the wall, and George stood a couple of feet from me.
"George, where do you think the others went off too?" I asked.
"Paul probably found some girl to go off with. John is probably with his wife, Cynthia, and Ringo is probably off with his girlfriend somewhere. That's how it usually goes," he replied.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" I asked.
What? I was just asking, gosh.
"No, not at the moment," George sighed.
"I'm sure you'll find somebody," I said. I knew for a fact that he would, too. When the Beatles started filming A Hard Day's Night, George met Pattie Boyd, who he later married.
"Penny, I was wondering..." George stepped closer.
Uh oh, I thought.
My eyes widened. I could see him blushing a little bit under the dim street lamp. "Do you think that maybe..." he paused once more and put his hand on my cheek.
I felt the electricity again, only this time it was wilder, with more passion. What do I do? I don't know how to do this, my mind was racing.
"That you might want to..." he put his other hand on my waist.
And that was when it happened.
George Harrison kissed me.
And I kissed him back.
He was warm, and I felt like I was on fire. It was cold outside, but my glasses fogged up from the sudden heat. It was wonderful, but terrible at the same time. He was gentle, but firm. I wanted it to last forever. When we finally pulled away, I stared at him in shock.
That was my first kiss. It was the most amazing thing that had ever happened to me.
"Was that too much?" He asked. He looked concerned now, "Penny, I just... I don't know I thought I felt something. From the moment we met, I was attracted to you. I thought you might feel the same way,"
"I know," I said softly, "I felt something too. But I can't. We can't. I still have amnesia, and I'm probably from America, when I remember, I'll probably have to go back to wherever I came from. George, I'll probably never be able to see you again.
I teared up a little bit. This was the only love I'd ever had a chance of, and it was impossible. Literally, utterly, impossible.
"Hey don't cry, it's okay," he said, wiping away a tear. I had never been much of a crier. I sucked in a breath, and squeezed the last tear out of my eye.
"George, I really, really like you, but I just don't think that this is going to work out," I said, dismayed.
"It's okay, I understand," he said, looking equally sad.
"But hey, we can make the most of our time right now, can't we?" I tried to be positive.
"I guess we can, can't we?" he smiled, and held my hands. Then he leaned in and kissed me again.

Hey guys, so I'm doing this from my phone because my laptop broke this week :( It's getting fixed, but it probably won't be back until next Monday. So bear with me, if this chapter seems to have weird formatting it's probably because I copy/pasted it using my phone. Anyway, have a wonderful day guys 💕 I'll try and upload the next chapter by next weekend.
