Castiel walked down the misty hall towards his english class. It was one of the few times he got to see Dean, catching him on his hurried way to class.
Castiel found Dean very odd, he avoided everyone and never stopped to greet his peers or pardon himself if he bumped into someone in his rush. Other than oddly antisocial, Dean was the most beautiful boy he had ever layed eyes on and he couldnt avoid being fascinated with Deans mysterious personality.
Castiel stopped to take a sip of water from the school fountain. He drank, cold water cooling his throat. A drop of water trailed down the side of his chin as he pulled away, and as he raised a hand up to wipe it away, he saw him.
Piercing green eyes and scruffy hair. The morning light from outside fell upon his skin, and Castiel thought Dean was as perfect as they get.
Castiels felt his mouth drier than before.
Dean walked with wide steps past him and around the corner, out of Castiels sight. Castiels hand was still on his chin. He dropped it to his side and didnt leave the hall until the bell rang and he stood alone.
-
School was over. Usually Castiel says goodbye to his friends and heads straight home obediantly, but today he needed to find Dean.
Castiel waited outside by the main entrance until Dean walked out. Dean didn't follow the rest of the students who went to the parking lot to their cars or waited patiently for a ride, he turned to the back of the school and walked into the woods.
Castiel followed him.
Dean looked to his sides occasionally, he must have felt Castiel looking him up and down, but he didn't dare look back. Dean entered a mysterious small wooden cabin and closed the door behind him, mysteriously.
What was this mysterious place?
Castiel walked to the closed door, before he could think of fleeing, Dean opened the door and their eyes met for the first time.
Castiels heart quickened, his face slightly flushed pink and he felt speechless. He then remember how to talk -Um, I'm sorry. I should leave.-
Dean layed a hand on the door frame then looked to the side into the distance. -Yeah...maybe you should.-
Castiel thought about leaving, but as soon as his eyes dropped to Deans pink lips and he saw the way Dean tugged at them nervously with his teeth, he knew he couldn't turn back.
-Can't I say hello first?- Castiel walked closer to Dean, he still was looking mysteriously into the distance, and smiled, lightening the odd situation.
Dean looked to the floor, to Castiels eyes, than into the distance again. -Okay...fine.-
Dean brought his hand down from the doors frame and let Castiel walk by him, into the cabin. Dean sat on a rusted metal chair in the darkness of the room and Castiel couldn't resist the way Dean's muscles moved as he held his weight to sit correctly. Castiel looked away from Deans arms, then back to Dean's deep green eyes. Castiel could tell Dean noticed his staring by the way his cheeks faintly blushed.
They stayed silent for a few seconds too long, then Dean scratched behind his ear and asked - So...why are you here?- Castiel stayed quiet and didn't know how to answer that. -What's your name?- Dean continued.
Castiel had forgotten that Dean had no idea who he was. Castiel knew Deans name because he once heard a teacher use it to tell him he left his notes.
Castiel couldn't stop saying it for days.
-Castiel.- he smiled-and you're Dean.- Castiel realized he shouldn't have given away that he knew Dean's name too late. Dean looked up to Castiel - I don't remember telling you mine?- his mouth curved into a small smirk. Castiel's breathing hitched.
He avoided Dean's question.
What do you do here?- asked Castiel.
Deans smile faded. He looked mysteriously into the distance -I stay away...-he whispered.
Castiel tilted his head curiously- Away? From who?-
-I...you should go...you can't stay here much longer.-
-Why not?- Castiel stepped closer.
-I might hurt you.- Dean looked away.
-How...what are you talking about?-
-I...I'm not normal Cas- Castiel heart skips a beat when he hears his name in Dean's voice.
Before Castiel can say anything back, Deans hands start to twitch and Cas can see his skin turn darker.
-what...- Castiel steps back as Dean falls out his seat to his knees and his back and skin morphed into something...canine? Dean groans and clutches to his ribs in pain as they slowly cave in.
-Castiel! You need to leave!-
-Dean, what's happening to you, why are you like this!?- Castiel is shocked and startled by him.
-Im...a werewolf.- Dean admits between gasps for air and painfull noises of bones bending. It slows down, then stops.
Deans hands looked like scary paws with sharp nails and whatever happened to his lower body was covered with Dean's leather jacket. His face remained the same- shiny emerald pool eyes, stubbled jaw and delicately placed freckles on his nose.
Deans eyes looked like they felt fear for Cas, but Castiel was not afraid. He was afraid for Dean.
-Dean, whatever this is let me help.- Castiel got down on one knee, now on the same level as Dean.-I can help, i promise. I'll try.-
Dean looked away-mysteriously into the distance-and then back to Castiel. -Allright, but please understand, you need to go.- He looked away again.-I'm...- he looks up -dangerous...-
Castiel looked at Deans eyes to the bridge of his nose then to his lips. He put a hand to the back of Deans neck. Dean's eyelashes fluttered as he slowly closed his eyes. Castiel leaned in and kissed him soflty, just once. Castiel pulled back and looked into Deans mysterious eyes.
-Don't worry, you wont hurt me- Castiel put a hand on Deans jaw. -I'm not going anywhere.-
Dean felt his hands turning human again and his heart exploding in his chest. Finally someone saw him for how he really was and accepted him.
Castiel thought, At least he isn't a vampire.
End.
