A Ray of Light

The light shone in the sky from the top of the building. Their war with the jin was now over, and Jay had finally won Nya's heart of something wasn't right.

A gust of wind blew through and a strange swirl of light surrounded the ninja. Jay clutched Nya in his hands, but the light drew around Jay. A dark voice surrounded him.

*You still have to face me.....there's someone out there that will destroy you.....after this short time....I have returned.....*

" Jay! Get away from there!" Cole yelled, for he too experienced this same phenomenal. Zane ran towards the light, but it was too late.

Jay twisted towards Zane in fear. His lightning power shooting around him. " Zane! Help me!!"

It was too late though the energy took him away to some other place, and only Cole and Zane would know where he had gone.

Cole ran up to Zane. " He's gone!" he breathed.

" He is, and now he can only pray that he'll come back to us." Zane looked down at the ground as the others, still in shock, didn't know what had just happen crowded around Zane. There on the ground was a small clue of what Jay would have to face in a world where man had no power, except for a handful of girls created for one thing.

To destroy the ninja.....

" Hey, you witch get out of here!"

" Yeah, we don't like monsters like you!"

I back away from the yelling and hate of everyone. Tears fall from my eyes. " It's not my fault! It's not my fault!" I couldn't run from them, they were everywhere. I knew this was a dream, but I it was true fact. My jet black wings protect me from the insults of man. It's the same dream over and over again, and I can't escape it, but it's been different lately. Ever since the rains came. They've stopped.

I opened my eyes and my wings, and in front of my is a boy dressing in blue. He eyes say a different story, and they don't fear me. I want to run, but something keeps me still. A safe feeling. The boy reaches out his hand to me, and he smiles.

" Please, don't. I might hurt you." I whisper a cry of warning to him, but he shakes his head. Even as the storm worsens around, and the darkness spreads. He still stand by my side.

" Natalie, don't be afraid."

My eyes widen. " Who are you?" I whisper.

" My name is Jay, Master of Lighting."

The dream stops, and that's all I could hear. I wake up at the same time, at the same part every morning. My wings hold me tight, and on my cheeks are the tear stains of my pain. Not the pain of waking up to another day of torture, but to the fact I wake up alone, and knowing that the one person that gave me his hand, was just a dream. A prince in a storybook, but i'm not the princess. I'm the witch....

" My name is Jay."

" Who are you, Jay?" I got up from the bed and looked through the window. The rain seemed relentless and wanted to stay. I felt like it was staying because it was waiting for something or someone to come. I check my computer for anything on my Wattpad account, but there was nothing. There was a girl I was talking too, she told me about how the ghost came to her, but there was one that grew quite close to her. She went missing a few months ago, it was horrific. The news saying she was kidnapped from her own home out in the backyard forest. The second one to be kidnapped.

*7:30*

The alarm rang and I relized I've slept in. " Great, now I'm going to be late!!" I groaned annoyed. " Raven! Come on!" I called to my black cat that wandered around the house. " Here's your food, and I got to go before I get teased about coming to school late again!"

I grab my bags and head out the door. " Bye!" I call out, but then I realize I live alone.
